  1. I believe they use a Lurecraft reaper mold and just split the tail with a tube splitter.
  2. I agree with borderbasser, watermelon/blue hi-lite is a good color. If you pour dropshot baits, one of the hottest colors for me last year was oxblood with blue hi-lite and small black flake. The smallmouth just kill this color.
  3. In your opinion, which are better, polypropylene or laminated bags?

    Super Bowl!

    Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. You can be sure that Del will not reproduce you bait for anyone without your permission. Your design will be safe with him.
  6. Any word on how Bob is doing? Has he found a new location for his equipment?

    custom mold

Same here Del. I wasn't knocking you by any means. Your work is top notch! That was a great post on the process of a custom mold, start to finish.
  8. What Sta-Warm Pot are people using? Does it have a mixer on it?
  9. I too am having the problem. I have cable internet, so it should be faster.
  10. Does anyone have a link for these pots with mixers in them? Thanks

    custom mold

I have a email in to Hi-Tech Lure Molds. They make custom spinnerbait, jig and weight molds. Hopefully this could be another source for molds. I will let you know what I find out. Their website is http://www.hitechluremolds.com

    custom mold

Does anyone know what kind of machines Bob and Del use. I did a search for CNC machines and It came up with all sorts of stuff. What would a used machine cost?
  13. Thanks for the replies. That was kinda what I was thinking too. Thanks again.
  14. Is there any rhyme or reason on giving colors a number; for example: #297 (Green Pumpkin) or #194(Watermelon Black Flake). (Both Yamamoto colors). I am in the process of numbering all of my colors, so I was just curious. Thanks
  15. My thoughts and prayers are with Bob in this horrible time. I just hate to see this kind of thing happen. On a different note, I just received one of my custom molds from Bob. He does outstanding work I sure hope he can get on his feet real soon.

    custom mold

I've been waiting over a year now for two custom molds. It gets frustrating, but I also understand that Del has to do his production work first. I gave Bob a couple of molds to do a little while back, and he just finished one and is almost done with the second. I wish there was another source for aluminum molds out there because I know both Bob and Del get slammed. It almost makes me want to invest in a CNC machine. If only I had a clue on how these things work
  17. Yea, I am using OSC. I just wish I knew what I was doing, as far as customizing it so it would look a little better. I had a buddy of mine do the site for me. One of these days I am going to revamp the entire site, starting with the pictures of the baits and color pages. I just have to get off of my lazy butt first
  18. I have used them all. Calhoun's is better than L.C., but in my opinion, I feel that M-F is the best out there.
  19. I use laminated bags from Del-Mart. I am going to start using Johnson Bag Company (http://www.johnsonbag.com) They have a better selection on sizes. They are quite a bit more expensive, but the quality is excellent. As far as labeling goes, I have tried several options before settling on label from Office Depot. I took my logo down to them and they sent it out to be digitally put onto glossy label. The price was pretty reasonable, and they come in rolls that are easy to store. They look very nice.
  20. I feel the same about how it feels like we are forced to pay for an unwanted membership. The guys out here(west coast) are stuck since they jerked the Opens from us. I just hope we can get more big tournaments out here, wich is really my main concern. I just don't see how BASS can feel that they are doing the right thing here.
  21. Have any of you guys tried out those cameras on Ebay? Just curious if they work good or not. They are a lot cheaper than a Aqua View, but probably not as good. Thanks.
  22. 1. Watermelonseed 2. Watermelon/ Red 3. Junebug 4. Basscandy or Watermelon Candy 5. Black/ blue flake These are my main choices.
  23. I also use a vent hood made for ranges. You can get them online from somewhere like Home Depot, or Lowes. They work very well, and are pretty easy to install.
  24. I don't remember the exact amount of drops. I had a different recipe for this color before, but I decided I liked Zoom's color better. I used just motoroil colorant, black, green, and purple flake. Test it out after every couple of drops until you get it. The black flake makes it look darker than it is so don't over do it. This is a killer color.
  25. I get real close with L.C. motoroil. I just made a batch of lizards in this color and it is almost exact. Hope this helps.
