Very cool looking, bright and eye catching. As for fishing, I am skeptical, although you might think along the lines of fancy glass jigs. I put in a picture of some fany jigs I made to give you an idea of what I am thinking. then the weight of your glass could be to your advantage. Would it be possible to add your glass directly to a hook?

Thought I would post another lure to look at, I doubt if you have one of these in your tackle box. It runs pretty good.

Tail is alumnium, thick but light. I originaly had made the tail out of an old kitchen spoon(stainless) but it was too heavy and made the butt of the lure sink. The lure is weighted so it barely floats, and shoots down 2 to 4 feet depending on the speed of the retrieve. The large tail flaps quite nicely. The lip was cut on a band saw and touched up on the belt sander. It was sold and lives in Iowa now.
