  1. I am very surprised to read there are people throwing their used baits overboard. Everyone I know throws them in the bottom of the boat and they blow out on the way home. Seriously, throw them on the floor and pick them up after you get the batteries on charge. Wow. On another note, I was reading about a bait made by Jackall. It described the bait as being made from Edum. Then it had a line that said. About EDUM: The material will dissolve into "water" and "carbon dioxide" within a short period of time (30-60 days).
  2. One thing I found that helped with scortching on a hotplate is a heat diffuser. It is round, has two layers of metal with an air gap and keeps the heat from concentrating on the actual areas touched by the burner coil. Here is one at Amazon: Amazon.com: Norpro Tin Heat Diffuser: Kitchen & Dining
  3. If you are adding salt that has absorbed moisture (salt will absorb moisture from the humidity in the air) you will see bubbles form once you get above 212F.
  4. Thanks Zbass - I'll give it a try tonight.
  5. Does anyone have a temperature they bring the clear coat to when they dip it? Can you bring untinted plastic to higher temperatures than tinted? I know when I pour white baits the plastic seams more sensitive to heat but that might be because white shows even the slightest discoloration.

  7. I assume you start with unscented petroleum jelly. Is this correct or is there something else I should know?
  8. There is some info in this post: http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/17481-craft-store-glitter.html
  9. This bottle is real old stuff from an eBay Lot that I bought. The rest of the lot was good but this is fluorescent chartreuse and the pigment that has settled is so hard that a screw driver will only penetrate about 1/4 inch. Do you guys think if I cut the bottle and took the "lump" of pigment out I could smash it with a hammer and mix it back into solution? I was originally thinking I could use the liquid for softener but now I am thinking I might try to save it. Maybe leave the lump in the sun till it is dry and then smash it followed by putting it in a blender?
  10. I have an old pint of MF colorant. It is full and has settled so there is a 1.5 - 2.0 inch layer of solids at the bottom that won't mix with the liquid above. My question is what is this liquid? Can it be used as a softener? It is relatively clear.
  11. Bear - are you injected the black and red simultaneously or one at a time?
  12. Do they look like this pair? These are called operating scissors with curved blade.
  13. 17. I created an album in my profile and uploaded the picture there.
  18. Obviously, I don't know how to insert pictures. When I inserted the picture, I put the path to the picture on my computer instead of a Url. Let me try something else.
  19. Here is the version I made with the info I got from Longhorn's post. I used the clear lights. I left the top tube off to show the mounting of the lights. I used 8 inch ducting pipe for the tubes and put an old fashioned metal pie plate on the lower tube to hold my pouring pans from Lurecraft. The switches on the right control the upper and lower lamps. My wife wanted me to make sure I told you guys the fridge on the left is my beer fridge and not the one in "her" kitchen.
