  1. M-F and Del-Mart have white.
  2. The only thing scarier than a seller with a 0 feedback reading is a buyer who is bidding against you. They will pay anything to score their first win.
  3. Maybe that's why there were two heat pots. One is warmng up while you dip in the other.
  4. I would just seal them and make your baits. Most of the bubble holes will go away and the few that remain - who cares, the fish won't.
  5. The $4000 investment is an exageration but those warming pots look like RiteHete pots so they would go for $400 or so each to buy new and the rest of the stuff would add up quickly unless you had a lathe to make the round parts and a access to a milling machine for some of the others. Can you do it with presto pots instead of the insulated warming pots - of course. But if you want to duplicate that set up, $550 isn't bad if everything works properly.
  6. They appear once and a while. Just be careful that the price doesn't get higher than the prices on Dels site.
  7. All I see is a salt and pepper bait????????
  8. I have known of Anglers Choice for a number of years. As far as I know, they are legit. We had a trail in New Hampshire a while back. It sounds like a good way to get your baits in front of a bunch of tournament anglers. The exposure would be large. Something to think about anyways.
  9. Matt - what do you mean "Most bass fisherman have not caught one that big". A lot of people at work know I bass fish. Every summer I get told by half a dozen guys at work they caught a ten. LOL I am sensitive to it like you. My personal best is a 5.73 largemouth. Not 5.5, not 5.75 but 5.73 on the tournament scales. I hate it when guys at work say "what's your biggest?" and when I tell them, they say really, I caught an 10 pounder last summer. It was probably a 4 at best. I went fishing at Falls Lake several years ago and there as a tournament going on. I asked a boat where the weigh in was and went to watch. Winners had a 14.5 and if I didn't see it get weighed, I would have thought it was at least 20. You are right, people have a hard time judging a fishes weight, especially when they haven't see a lot of fish weighed or many good sized fish.
  10. Just like you don't know how quick your car is till you run it against a clock, you don't know how big your fish is till you hang it from a scale.
  11. Their website doesn't list prices. What was the quantity and what did they quote you?
  12. You would think the people distributing the product would know enough to prevent this. I was considering trying this "new" glue but I haven't heard anything about evaporation. How widespread is this problem?
  13. The way I understand it, the tax is added at every step of the way; unless you provide a tax ID number. So, if you buy the materials and don't give a tax ID number, you pay 10%. When you sell to the distributor, you add 10% unless they provide a tax ID number. When the distributor sells it, the 10% comes into play again. Unless everyone but the person selling to the consumer (fisherman) has a tax exempt status (tax ID number) then 20% (non-distributed) or 30% (distributed) will be paid on the bait.
  14. The truth about eBay is fortunate or unfortunate, depending where you stand. The buyer pays nearly new prices so there aren't a lot of bargains. The seller, however, recoups a lot of his investment. The part I like the best is watching people pay more for a used mold than a new one costs.
  15. Cyrano - any word on the manufacturer? What has been your experience with the paint? In other words, if the guys buying from LC experience a limited shelf life in small bottles, why wouldn't a gallon go bad too?
  16. You should have done the searches on this site using the search feature at the top of the page. Here is one example: http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/soft-plastics/12701-lc-soft-plastic-paint.html There is a lot of information on this site about painting.
  17. Read the stickies at the top of the forum and "Get'er Done". In other words, don't second guess the forum members. The stickies says it all.
  18. Sorry I forgot to post the link. jmik's post has it.
  19. It may not be truely self-heating but it is a good idea. Thanks for telling how to keep it flowing. I think I have seen band heaters on eBay too.
  20. Yes, that is a nice bass. Between that and the avitar bass, he has me beat.
  21. Self-heating? It takes energy to make energy. How does that work?
  22. This thread describes one TU members experience with that pot.
