  1. They are. Friskets is a masking material that has a light adhesive like a post it.

    Hello Again

Hello Jamie - you need to make time for yourself, especially when things get real hectic. Even just one hour helps.
  3. I ordered 5 gallons of super soft and 5 gallons of sinking soft from MF today. Robert told me 5 gallons had to rise from 120 to 133 because there is a world wide shortage of adipic acid. Adipic acid is used as a plasticizer in the manufacture of nylon, polyurethane and PVC. China is consuming more and more of this every year and the affects are being felt world wide.
  4. So what is the price for 5 gallons of super soft and 5 gallons of soft sinking plastic?
  5. Did they say when this would take place?
  6. While you may view this as a personal attack, think about what you are doing when you post things for sale on multiple sites. You get someone psyched to get a new mold. They are the first person to respond and the anticipation builds. They come home from work and check the site and find out that even though they appeared to be first in line, they don't get the mold. Not very fair to your fellow forum members. It used to be the norm that members would put the mold on one site and if it wasn't sold, they would announce they were moving it to eBay. This is just common courtesy to your fellow forum members.
  7. Same thing happened to me with a different seller. I actually have a pm that says he sent the mold to me and then the next pm says it is sold to a buddy. <quote> P.S. I sent the mold out today. You can wait to send the payment until you receive the mold if you would like. You can reach me at anytime at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have any problems. <end quote> Like Columbia Craft, my dufus had under 20 posts too. There are a lot of new people on this forum as of late - I hope treating people poorly isn't going to become the norm.

  9. Sorry to resurrect an old post but does this mean the MF sinking plastic does not sink? I need some more plastic and was planning to order 5 gallons of this for my stick baits.
  10. NO! you are wrong - there are 453 drops. LOL Seriously, I have found that depending on what you use to put the hole in the end of the nozzle affects the size of the drops. If you buy a container from Bears Baits, it comes with an insert (or it did a year ago) that has quite a large hole and can really make a big drop if you squeeze too hard. The MF one ounce bottles have a similar insert with a much smaller hole. So, it is hard to say how many drops in an ounce because of these variables. I use the same pin to puncture nozzles, adapt each recipe as I try them to suite my tastes and keep records in a loose leaf binder. Keep in mind that all manufacturers colorants are different and require adjustments when changing from one to another.
  11. Do a search on silicone mold making. There was an extensive thread about using the Walmart Mainstay line of 100% silicone mixed with a little water to create inexpensive molds.
  12. Moderator - this should be in soft plastics - it is not a tutorial.
  13. The premise behind the hollow swimbait is it can collapse when the fish bites. With only a .050 or .060" void, I don't see it doing much, if anything to help it collapse. I have a hook slot swimbait mold and I only dip the head to hold the eyes in place. I have always believed that having the hook up inside the belly and skin hooked on the top will give better hook penetration on the hook set than hollow bellies with what I believed to be a much larger cavity. This latest information makes that even more clear to me.
  14. So are these hollow swimbaits that are poured instead of dipped just a hook slot bait that has been dipped to seal the slot?
  15. I was wondering the same thing about Bear's insert. What thickness is the insert from the "other guys"? I have bought hollow body swims from Ghost Baits and the hollow belly seems to be bigger than that. They are all gone now so I can't check.
  16. Troul Hawk, we've almost always got runners, right now we have plenty of green pumpkin and watermelon candy. And that was just what was made in the last two days. We've made 15000 pieces since Monday and that's only with one machine. The other machine I'm configuring to do a two color laminate with a third color tail. Sample for prospective client. The one good thing about selling the scrap this way, they don't care what colors go together (bleed or non bleed) and it doesn't matter if it's salt water or fresh water plastic. But when your work space is 20x20 it's a relief to see 18 barrels leave. Mike - How can I get some green pumpkin runners? - Dave
  17. So couldn't you heat the sardine oil like Nova suggested with the herring oil extraction in the post above?
  18. Midway has the mold release on sale for 6.99 but they add 3.00 for small order handling and the shipping to New Hampshire is 13.79 - WOW !
  19. There are about 2 tablespoons in one ounce so you worst case, you put about 4 tablespoons in 14 ounces. That would be about 1 tablespoon in 3.5 ounces. I make worms with 1 tablespoon in 4 ounces for a buddy who likes them very soft. I put the softener in before cooking and the baits are not sticky. Also, you said you probably put in 1 or 2 ounces which sounds like you didn't measure because that is a pretty wide range. You need to measure your ingredients if you want to be able to duplicate successes when you are developing baits.
  20. Is the dark watermelon called dark melon on Del's site?
  21. Would pressing fresh garlic make a water based or oil based liquid?
