  1. I couldn’t agree more, Fatfingers. This site is a wealth of knowledge for all lure builders, and it’s also a great place for lasting friendships. Thanks Jerry, this is such a great place for us lure builders to convene and share information and ideas.
  2. You wont keep epoxy on the sharp edges. I really dont know what the minimum radius is but I just knock the edge down and I usually dont have a problem. You do have to be aware of the edges when applying the epoxy though.
  3. Dean makes a fine crankbait thats for sure...

    Square Lip Balsa

Thanks, Richard I first paint the bait yellow, then the scales on the back and the back stripe last. The eyes and the dot are paint.
  5. I guess late is better than never... Happy birthday Dean

    Wiggle warts

    Nice work VMAXX!!!
  7. Most of the epoxys will be fine to use... some of them have a slight smell but nothing that would have the RA's knocking on your door.

    Foil Bluegill

    Extremely nice work
  9. When using netting its best if you spray the paint on the light side. That will prevent the paint from getting too thick and running together. It takes some practise but once you get it you will be doing it in your sleep.

    Sunfish

Man thats really nice... Is that a hand made bait?
  11. Grey Wolf welcome to the site and you are at the right place... If you use the Search on this site I think you will find answers to every question you asked. Most of those questions have been answered many times so you should get a well rounded answer. You should find hours worth of great knowledge here.
  12. You can stop by and leave some here at my place
  13. Thanks for the good laugh Dean... Honestly though, its everyone here thats willing to share that makes this place the sucess that it is.
  14. Thanks for the kind words Stan. I had a good time talking and will meet again sometime. We will have to hit a lake some where and catch a fish or two. Thanks for the outstanding rod also... its a perfect match for my ABU Revos.

    Brown Tiger

I dont know where I posted that... I sometimes say Brush but I guess I need to say Airbrush... sorry
  16. Have you tried to leave the bait at least 12 - 15" from the tip of the rod before casting. That should help some with the tumbling baits.
