Hi everyone and thank you for taking the time to read my post. With the ice fishing season just getting started in my area (Saginaw Bay Mi). I thought I would try to make some soft plastic baits for ice fishing. I picked up a couple of maggot molds a few months ago to make baits for the Blue Gill we get in the canals in the fall. I thought I would try my luck at making a core shot maggot. This is what I came up with. The mold wasn’t made to do this and I didn’t do any modifications to the mold at all. They make core shot molds for worms, Ned worms, and paddle tails but I didn’t find what I was looking for in a maggot.
These were the first ones I tried. I still have a little more work to do to get it down right. I made them with some leftover plastic that I had. So far I like them.
