  1. My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob and his family!!! Glad to here he is OK. I have never met him but consider Bob a friend just from doing business together. If there is anything we can do for him Z, let me know!!! Jim
  2. Clemmy: I like the color a lot. Has a little change-ability (if that is such a term ) to it. It is like a translucent blue with motor oil in it. As mentioned, copper looks good with it and you can also add some brown and come up with a good color. Here is a picture but NOT a good one!!! It is hard to get a good shot of the translucent colors that are darker... http://www.ghostbaits.com/images/monsterclawbc.JPG Jim
  3. Hover over the hyperlink in the email and you can see the email address that you are really going to should you click on the link in the email. I get these scams from eBay, Paypal, banks, etc. all day...every day. If I ever am not sure, I go directly to the website of the company requesting my information to see if there is a request on the site!! Jim
  4. Ryan: Let me know what you decide!!! I am in the market also but cannot get any response back from either company via email. Guess I need to pick up the phone!!! Jim
  5. Just go to www.usps.com and look for the click-n-ship. You print out the label AND you get a sheet with the confirmation # and customers name!!! Jim
  6. I am in the market...Prefer Sta-warm but will take a Lee or 2... Jim
  7. I was recently through the patent thing and can give you some direction BUT I am not an expert by any means!!! To blatantly disregard another persons patent will get you in some hot water one day!!! While B&D is right in some aspects (defense of a patent can easily run $750,000), if somebody decides to take you to court, you either have to defend yourself or pay up!!! If you lose, the individual is entitled to 3X damages + full compensation for all legal fees!!! I would be wary of infringing on a patent however I have not seen any information that Roboworm has ever had a patent of that type or has ever taken legal actions against another individual for infringement on that patent. Good ideas are hard to come up with and you never know who might decide that they want to make an example out of a certain situation. Jim
  8. If you ship USPS, you should be using on-line click-n-ship!!!!! You get FREE delivery confirmation!!!!! You can save up to 1000 customer names on-line in the USPS database and the USPS sends an email, with the tracking number, to the individual. How can you go wrong with that???? In over a year and 1/2, I have had "0" problems with the USPS system... I can't believe when I get packages that are not in a Flat Rate envelope ($3.85 for all you can get in the envelope..weight up to 65lbs) AND somebody actually paid for delivery confirmation when you can get it for free!!!!!!! Jim
  9. Any luck TJ??? I have an engineer friend working on a hand pour "pot" with a special stirring system.. Let me know if you have had any success. Jim
  10. I was shipped regular plastisol once and have the exact ratio at home in my shop. M-F (Robert) will give you the ratio if you call. I used Calhoun's softner with my M-F plastisol initially with no problems. When my M-F came, I switched to M-F. Jim
  11. I get mine from www.veripack.com A case of 1000 is around $32.00. They are NOT laminate bags however, just a nice clear 6x6 4mil bag. Anybody have a line on some laminate bags that can be printed??? Jim
  12. Look at these.... http://www.tackleunderground.com/photos/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=23 Jim
  13. Ryan: I have poured that color!!! It ia a 2 color pour but can be done close with 1 color. You are on the right track with the blue hi-light powder. I'll get my recipe book from work tomorow and email you the recipe!!!! Jim
  14. Jake: The colors are nice for an injected bait but unless yours are very firm and jacked with salt ....then I'm not sure the would be much comparison... More like apples and oranges ... Jim
  15. Over a month now and no public update seen : : : : ????? I can only assume that the chemists at Calhoun's can not figure it out... They should AT LEAST say that though....publicly !!!! Jim
  16. All my frothing bubbles came with plastic that had NO salt added to it. I'm not as sure that Calhoun's is working on the problem as I have seen no update, potential findings, etc. posted to substantiate that. Plastisol is a minute part of Calhoun's business and I would be surprised if the issue is ever publicly addressed. Even a college student with a reasonable amount of knowledge and the right equipment could let you know what is causing the frothy bubbles... Chemists with Phd's should be a able to crack it in hours NOT weeks or months!!!! Soooooorry Tim..This issue still sticks in my craw!!!!! Jim
  17. Just another injection knock off I guess... www.alluringbaits.com... Brent is a good guy though!!!!
  18. Look what I found Jake... These might be for sale on eBay by now but this is close to jake's design.....
  19. Great update Deep....Stay safe!!! Ya'll are in my prayers!!! Jim
  20. I just tried some and WOW....A few drops to some chartreuse and it SHINES!!!! Just wondering if anybody is adding this to like white and making a very bright pearl white....??? It mixes in much easier than any powder and gives uniform coloring.... I just haven't seen it mentioned in any sticky recipes... Jim
  21. Great tip!!!! Never even crossed my mind that a lot of paint are OIL based!!! Thanks tomcat!!!! Jim
  22. Expect no difference....The 5 gallon and 1 gallon will be exactly alike!!! I think the M-F handles the heat just a little better than Calhoun's so don't be afraid to give it a few more seconds. 2 observations I can definitely give you: Your flake/salt will fall much faster with M-F so you need to stir a little more. (Higher quality resin in the plastisol...) Re-melting of M-F is easier than with Calhoun's. I usually go 45 seconds to 1 minute (if there isn't much flake) before I stir with M-F on a re-melt. With Calhoun's, you almost have to stir every 15 seconds or you will burn your plastic... Jim
  23. Looks like cotton candy color to me... If so, here is a dead match to Zoom's cc... in 4oz of plastic add 1 drop of strawberry red (LC) and 2 drops white (M-F).. I'm sure you can use any manufacturer's colorant interchangeably in these.... As previously mentioned, if you are adding salt you will need to almost double the colorant.... Jim
  24. Make sure you get 2 part as I have tried the 1 part mold and it just doesn't cut it...not enough "bulk" to the bait.... JMHO.... Jim
