    Slash Shad: Citrus Shad

Thanks all. Baits is on hold Frank. Guys won't leave me alone with wanting baits!! No fishing, no experimenting!!! Jim
  2. Thanks for the report and info Adam. A good plastisol has to perform in the microwave as well as a pot. That has been difficult as the microwave definitely heats things crazy and soooo uneven. Was there any hard packing to either sample? Jim
  3. Good call!!!!! I totally forgot about WYSI... It is top notch and a GREAT value!!! Jim

    Slash Shad: Citrus Shad

Thanks! I have clown to post also. I am a BIG fan of clown for the smallies!!! Jim
  5. Brian is the man! He will help. Adding the extra drop colors is simple in paypal but building a new site is not that easy. Lots are going to tell you different software programs and many programs will take many hours to use and learn. Just remember this, most buyers are there to look at pictures of your baits (be sure they are good), to move around your site easy (be sure your links are correct) and then to buy baits. Guys/gals don't care about fancy flash and crazy banners. They want to get on your site, order the stuff they see that they like and go back to something else, like fishing!!! Just my opinion as an angler and AVID bait buyer!!!! Jim PS I use/used MS Frontpage and MS Web Expression. If I can use them, anyone can!!!

    Slash Shad: Citrus Shad

Just a color a buddy wanted in a soft plastic. He has lots of success on a citrus shad crank. We will see???!!! Jim
  7. I guess what I meant was, you should not HAVE to use a de-molding agent. You can CHOOSE to use one though and worm oil, PAM spray and others are available. Be sure to test them well prior to use and also test for the long term affects on your baits. Some changes may occur a week to a month out there. Jim
  8. You should not need a release agent for any molds, regardless of their type. If you do, there is an issue with the mold surface. Jim
  9. LOL!!!! Never the mold! Never say never...... Seriously though, those molds are all as exactly the same as they could be so that is true. I'd pour some hot, junk plastic in that bad boy a couple times and then see if you can get a good pour. Beware of excessively heating the mold to hot in an oven or anything else. Should be no need for that. I'll guess you are pouring with medium plastic so that stuff can be a bit viscous. Give Bear a call if you can't get it done as he will take care of you without a doubt! Jim
  10. Nobody I guess. I just made some pop molds for kicks and to have some baits in the boat. Basstackle has a nice small craw similar to the BB Cricket. I have punched mats with them and they are nice! Got them from the guy at Hawg Pours.com Anyway, I just like to try a bait on the water prior to sinking $$$ into a mold. What I think looks good and what the fish thinks look good are totally different. Fish are all that matter! Jim
  11. Zoom has a patent on the "claw" part of the Ultra vibe speed craw, uv speed worm, horny toad, etc. I am very surprised they haven't gone after a close replication of that bait. They may be waiting for it to be worth their while. The 10% or 25% that has been mentioned is a myth as Jon stated. Patents focus on specific parts of a bait and the action imparted. Reading the darn patent documents is PITA but the pictures make most patents pretty clear. Jim
  12. To be honest, I thought a tube worms would be funny! After watching the video, I stand corrected for sure. The fish caught was 6+ no doubt. The bait looks good and I am sure the fish down here have seen nothing like that! I had to catch myself before I ordered a mold as the thing looks that good and I am not an impulse buyer like my wife... LOL!!!! I will be interested in buying a few bags when these are available! Jim PS Mark.... I have a 6.3 from Northern WI and many 5+ from up that way but nothing in the 7 range! Good luck with your "hunt".
  13. Amen brother!!!!! I am sure the colors we put out ourselves are as good as or better than what I see from larger manufacturers. Especially injection companies that have some very suspect quality control. I have noticed a few color combos I put out last year showing up in some cataloges this year. Sure that happens for many that pour/inject from TU. Maybe we should call up some of these companies and suggest a 1 for 1 recipe swap on some colors??? Jim
  14. I meant to go to the light hitch bait on that page. The back is more brown on this bait vs the one that was originally shown. The first bait looks more yellow.... Jim
  15. Seems it is a different color with each Rago style/bait you look at. The others I looked at look brown on the top. Rago Jim
  16. I am going to call an talk with someone also. I'd like to know the differences as the Ultrasol is priced about the same as most plastisols I see out there. I will guess the difference is in the resins they use to produce each. It would be nice to see some more specs on the individual pages for each type. Jim
  17. Did you get soft, medium hard? How is the fumes/smell, heating in mic (if you use), clarity of cooked plastic, etc? Thanks! Jim

    Swimbait Family

Very good! I guess thin might be in BUT fat is where it is at!!! LOL! Jim
  19. To add to all that, be sure you apply the pressure and then pause for a second holding presure to the mold. I have noticed that my molds with rings will be incomplete if I remove the injector immediately. The biggest issue I have also noticed is being sure you plastic is bubble free and using your injectors smoothly on both the fill and inject. When rush the fill, I know I create bubbles. Good luck! Jim
  20. I like the pricing too!!!! Jim
  21. I will echo that set-up however I also add a bead on my line to help protect the nose of the frog even more. Jim

    Swimbait Family

Cami: Nice! How does the family swim???? You don't see many fat swims out there!!! Jim
  23. I know these guys are smart (they are from Georgia...LOL!!) so I know they haven't bet the farm on hand pouring stuff. Not many do it and I doubt many will randomly pick it up with hand injection. I am checking things out with them and will make an order this week to get the low down. I hope to use their pourasol, injectasol, etc and see how this compares to current soultions. Jim
  24. M-F orange pumpkin is not to strong, nothing like LC's orange! Wish I had time to work on this one but my plate is overfull!!! Jim
