  1. My small (0.008) Lurecraft silver causes my micro to arc!!! It was like pouring rocks in the lake anyways...real heavy!!! The small (0.008) red from LC bleeds like a stuck pig also.... lucky I got both of those for free, otherwise I might be talking bad about LC !! Jim
  2. Wild Junebug: Junebug down the center, chartreuse over Jim
  3. Jed: I wait 10 days (also spell that out in the auction). After that, I offer the bidder an option to pay my fees (Ebay will reimburse you also for non-paying bidder) OR receive negative feedback. The "checks in the mail" routine got old for me so I go with Paypal. May cost a little in fees but you do get your $$$ quick!!! Just my 2 cents!! Jim
  4. Any chance that could be coming from overheating your plastic?? Might try adding some stabilizer, heating in only 30 second intervals (after plastic is almost completely clear) or it could be the glitter. I guess if its happenning prior to adding the glitter, its overheating. If after adding the glitter, its the glitter. Jim
  5. I actually had to pour 300 with that 1 mold!!! Took FOR EVER!!! Learned a good lesson this time!!! just say "NO" Jim
  6. Just poured 100 drop shot worms for a guy and my green pumpkin is more green than brown. My fishing buddy says his green pumpkin are really more brown than green. Is beauty in the eye of the beholder ??? Cause I really like the green to be seen more than the brown!!! Jim PS I used 8oz plastic and 6 drops of pumpkinseed and 6 of watermelon good amount of purple flake with a black tail. Worms really do look good. My customer doesn't really care about the exactness of the color as he wanted me to pick a good color for his area!!!

    New Guy

Welcome from one Georgia boy to another...I'm still in awe of the baits I seen on this site!!! Jim
  8. Going January 15th and 16th..Wondering if any other TU members are going?? Jim PS My wife got this as an xmas present..don't know if she wanted me out of the house for the weekend or was just being nice :
  9. Great bait...making any for swap or sell yet??? Jim
  10. Very insighful Jim..I appreciate your advice as I think that I might try something of a mix of the 2. Bottom line is I want somebody who will give my baits a shot, catch some fish and then maybe tell a few people. A buddy of mine says get a billboard and be done. It always will show up, always will say the same thing, and win, lose or draw, people will see your baits!!! Jim
  11. I'm waiting on my scanner to close on Ebay!!! Goodbye camera!!! Hey Bummer...nice bait and nice scan. What make/model scanner are you using??? Jim
  12. Looking good Madbass...I think those will catch fish. Sometimes I vary the green color myself and pour them light or darker depending on the water color/clarity. Wish my first lams looked that good !! Jim
  13. Brilliant Boomer!!! Saved me some cash and now I don't have to take the decorations down...just cut'em up!! Jim
  14. Like those Jackall Bros. mask baits. Looking to have a hard body for the front part of the bait with one treble and tthen actually cover the hard portion and extend a plastic part of bait. Not sure if I need to prep the wood portion in a special way. Jim
  15. Interesting observation Pit Bass!!! I've always just added softner to make mine "wiggle" but maybe I'll try a few your way.
  16. Thanks again for all the insight. Sure you didn't step on Chirmy's toes Chris. It's good to hear the perspective of the fisherman and the baitmaker. I was looking at the "pro" thing for exposure in a different part of the country from me. Guess I need to weigh the exposure I "might" get, with the cost to me. After the hard work it takes to pour up these new colors everybody is crazy over, Chris is right....giving them away for nothing won't work!! Jim
  17. glad you asked skeet...i was wondering the same thing. Guess we use different terms or i just don't tourney fish enough Jim
  18. For flippin and pitching down here in the south, you need a bait to get through some weeds and muck. The z-lizard has to be my favorite now. It gets through the weeds due to the body mass. All colors are good but green pumpkin/purple flake with black tail is my go-to right now!! Jim This bait really rocks c-rigged also!!!
  19. Watch Ebay also. You can get some from there right now!! Molds are nice but ask to send uncoated if you buy and coat yourself with Devcon 2 ton (or high heat paint). Jim PS Just search Sporting Goods for "molds". You'll find'em.
  20. Hilarious!!! Might be a little offensive in nature at the end but hope all take in stride!!!
  21. Great advice all. I pour plastics and there is time involved (but not quite the time of cranks :!: ) creating the exact color/glitter combos requested. The when you start playing around with scents and salt you open another door. I'm not looking to be a Zoom, just cover the costs of my molds and the baits I use to fish (and the ones my "buddies" bum from me) !! Jim
  22. I have some guys wanting to be Pro Staff for Ghost Baits. We are just casually talking now but both have tried and liked my baits. Now what?? What should I expect from this sort of relationship?? Anybody with experience on either end (Pro or bait maker), give me some advice!! Thanks!! Jim
  23. Just curious guys...what is the % rate of that excise tax??? Anybody?? Thanks!!
