  1. Magnum Spinner Blades Musky & Pike Lure Spinner Blades #10 is as far as these guys go up to but if you order them in the Premium Finish they are well worth the price. Regards, Blades
  2. http://www.bowfishingassociation.com/ These boys wont rid our waters of them but they have sure done there part to put a dent in them down south.(with the exception of snake heads) They launched from the same ramp as our weekly night tournmanet (for bass) a few weeks ago and I stayed around to watch them check in. Man they whacked a ton of gar and carp that night. Some boats had as many as 100 fish. Regards, Blades
  3. Welcome Dave. You are at the right place for sure. It's great to see some younger guys getting in to lurebuilding. Regards, Blades
  4. This is a great Tutorial for skirt making 101 A few things I would add.............................. If you leave the skirt layer tabs uncut they are much easier to pull thru the tool sleeve. Then once the completed skirt is installed on the lure, cut the tabs. Makes for a nice neat skirt. Remember to thread the short end of the skirt on the tool first Take a cue-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol and swab some alcohol on the cone of the skirt tool, the skirt will slide on the tool cone like greased lightning. If you apply a little rubbing alcohol on the lure body the skirt will slide on the lure with the same ease and the skirt wont wad up. Regards, Blades
  5. Winter to late Spring......... Zoom Cotton Candy or Watermelon Candy worm rigged on a Headshaker Jighead. Late Spring to Fall.............. Double Fluke (Bass Assasin) Regards, Blades
  6. He was a legend in the lure business as well. I was fortunate enough to meet him on several occasions and spoke with him on the phone quite often. Stan was a grumpy ol cuss at times but I still had an enormous amount of respect for him. He was a true Pioneer in the fishing industry.I wish I had a nickel for every spinnerbait Sloan Bait Company made over the last 20 years. And dont forget........................how many of you ever used the Zorro Black Light for instance? God Rest His Sole. Blades
  7. Nice Job! And Happy 4th to you as well. Regards, Blades

  9. Not Many. Very dense compared to Lanier and other lakes north of Lagrange. Regards, Blades
  10. They are great baits IMO. I collect both the Vintage "R" series as well as the "Humpy" series. Those older Rebel baits were made with Buterate(spelling) which is much more dense than the plastic used in later years. These baits have a distinct sound when the knocker moves in the chamber. Lips The lips are screed in and also glued. Mos of the time you can take the screw - wiggle and pull on the lip and it ill come out. Be carefull because sometimes you can break the extension on the lip (you cant see it because it is inside the bait) But with a little patience you can get the lip out just fine.If you are working on multiple baits of the same model, be sure to keep the lip and screw with the bait it came off of! Trust me it makes a difference. When I install the lips after a completed custom paint job, I do not devcon them back in! I use a small amount of silicone coted on the lip extension that goes back in the body. (This goes for all the Pradco Baits that have this type lip) The reason is that I have broken some lips in the past while fishing these baits and I can always take a lip from another bait and repair the bait. If I devcon it back in then if the lip ever breaks it is a nightmare to repair. The screw on the other hand gets a small dab of epoxy on the thread before I install back in the bait. As for Custom Painting. I think they paint up nice but if you happen to have any in your collection that are Bone with a little orange on the belly or bone with a brown back....... I personally would not paint these. They are proven fish ctching patterns. Regards, Blades

  17. Hello all. I need some help finding someone to do plastic injection. I need this for a crankbait design. I need someone who can manufacture the mold from a pre designed crankbait that has alraedy been proven and is in production. China or anything across the pond is out of the question. Now.... I actually have the sources on the hardware and also someone to do the molding but having the mold made is another issue. I wanted to find someone who was actually injecting as well as making molds for the fishing industry. If anyone has any direction to send me I would appreciate either an answer here in the thread or a PM. Thank you in advance for any help. With Kindest Regards, Blades
