  3. Dang......Another fantastic job Fingers. My idea for a name is "Suicide Perch" Why????? Because trying to duplicate that pattern would cause me to slit my wrist with that razor blade! Regards, Blades

  5. Maltrout. If you are not satisfied with the lure after baking the first time, i.e (flaws- bare spots- or color not dark enough) just set your heat gun up and re-coat the problem lures. Heat the lure (make sure you keep moving or rolling the bait over the heat) and dust it in powder quickly.Just make sure you dont over heat and dont leave the lure in the powder long. You can actually heat the powder on the previously painted lure up enough to make it tacky without burning or bubbling the paint. It just takes a little practice. Then bake them again and and 10 minutes to the time. Regrads, Blades
  6. Please dont read into this as me being a smart ass here but unless you are manufacutring on a large scale, selling on an interstate commerce level, I would just leave this subject alone and not rattle the cage. I know of at least 2 hardbait manufactureres that still use lead base paint and they are world wide. Regards, Blades By The Way. My Jig Heads are sold Nation Wide and In Canada. The Law requires me to have the appropriate warnings on the package. If you package the baits you are painting I would just put a card in the package with a warning.
  7. Thanks Fellers. I appreciate the feedback and nice comments. Regards, Blades

  14. Welcome aboard reefslinger. I know you said you put your compressor in an enclosure and added a vent but make darn sure you have vented it weel so that plenty of fresh air can circulate. Compressors generate an emormous amount of heat and need air circulating to cool them. Roger Gruvsjo AKA swede here makes a crank/jerk bait that has an up and down action when retrieved. It "gets it on" pretty dang good. Maybe PM him and ask for a picture. Again,Welcome! Regards, Blades

  17. All good answers yes they are. But what does this have to do with hardbaits? Sounds a little off topic to me. More suited for the "docks" or "fishing tips" JMO. No offense intended. Regards, Blades
  18. My dad was a firearms dealer. He passed away 2 years ago and I inherited all his guns. Thank God Dad had a few tricks up his sleeve. Many of these guns were documented but there are just as many in his private collection that were not. I had to go through alot of red tape to keep all the firearms I inherited that were documented but it was worth it. I have enough unregistered firearms and amunition to hold off a small army. When they come for them (and they will someday) they may get most of them but not all. It may not happen in my lifetime but I can assure you it will happen in my son's lifetime (he is 6 yrs old) if he lives to a normal age. They will keep amending and keep amending until eventually, they get rid of the second amendment. The day that happens the Uninted States will become a dictatorship as delw said. This is a very serious matter and not to be taken lightly. I fear that with the younger generations it becomes less and less important. Like Spike, I to served this great country we live in to defend the rights of every citizen here and abroad. I laid my ass on the line more than once for that very cause. No One owes me a debt, I did it because I felt it was my duty. If I am alive and able, I will defend my right to bear arms and protect my family to the end. If the Sh?t ever breaks loose, anyone is welcome to come and bear there arms at my farm.If you are against the second amendent, then you would not be welcome. You will have to fend for yourself. Good Reply KC and bryan_va God Bless You All and God Bless This Great Nation! Regards, B&B
  19. Clemmy is dead on Craig. It is still available and is used on guitars and piano finishes. It is some super hard- super clear stuff. The toxic and flamability thing doesn'tbother me because I shoot RM Lacquer (which is dang near impossible to get anymore) but I was told by an "old timer" that it doesn't do well with long term exsposure to water and sunlight (and heat). but heck........ were not married to the bait anyway so I would give it a try.Nothing lasts forever anyway. Regards, Blades.
