  2. another note. constricting the sprue and vrnt hole will create a harder body using urethane foams..
  3. you can use a wood filler like lepages. sand off with 180 and primer. easy fix.
  4. we use 0.51 aircraft tie wire. can be purchased in 1lb spools. excellent for bending. .its actually easier to use then screws and being wire thru, awesome for larger lures for toothy fish,
  5. we also build wooden shallow lures. we use wood lathes or bandsaws. what size are you wanting to build?

  15. hi mico ballons will weaken a body, when you pour and the foam rises blok your pour whole and vent. that will make the foam to collapse the bubbles and create a very hard outer shell.as for paints that will not affect a foam body.we use a 15lb ridid and never have your issue.
  16. we use dollar store adhero epoxy. remember scuff the lexan lip .it holds very well.
  17. also if the pull point is beyond 1 inch from lip end baits will normally blo-out .
  18. no one mentioned the l;ip slot. if crooked it will death spiral
  19. a client we have uses maple. for musky baits its pretty hardy stuff. we do the artwork..they will last decades lol.
  20. at one time here on l.st clair honduras mahogany was the cats meow. pricing now is crazy
  21. we are in canada. box stores sell it in many forms.it cutseasily, sands easily.it holds screws better then pine,s .yes some folks have sensivity..the best cedars we use is white cedar from the east coast.
  22. hands down cedar. its light, buoyant but sealed works great .other then our molded urethane lures, its what we use on cranks. just seal coak first.
