  1. missing a washer on the stem. it will blow air thru the tip constantly
  2. i use a local brand from mcdonalds and white paints. they mix my sealer to 28% solids. there are several brands available nationwide. we immerse our bodys twice.

  5. lacquer sanding sealer rocks. a litttle smelly but very usefull.

  7. cedars fine.if you use a sealer. it hardens the wood up. use quality screws. try the 0.92. you wont have issues if you epoxy the screws. mahogany is also excellent but pricey
  8. hi i have been using wire instead of drill bits for years. your dead on those tiny bits break quite easily

  13. i believe what you stated they are painted on from steady talented crasftsmen, or theres tools for the job.
  14. jed we did testing years back. african mahogany sank. the densitys were to hi. that was before hardware was eeven added. american mohagany didnt stand up enuff. honduras in pattern grad is the sweetest wood. thats only my opinion, others use many different woods for application actions.
  15. i find honduras mahogany yo be less grainy then cedar.. after sanding sealer a dip in prime then dip in base color theres no grain to be seen.
  16. yep musky dan many have been bitten using poplar. a friend of mine cut up 300 baits cause of swelling
  17. if you buy a 2by 6 8 feet long. its usually cheeper
  18. finlander mahogany is very pleasent to work with. the orignil lokes were better grade mahogany.. honduras accepts sealers ,paints very well. the issues are cost of wood. make sure its honduras not african cause african sinks.
  19. we use cedar for our baits. its corky and lively. another wood not mentioned is honduras mahogany. its slower but very good

  23. i am curious. i never knew the foam had to be re-coated before paint. the luhr jenxen fingerlings are not done that way i think. i could be wrong as this will be a new adventure, i hope
  24. once burned twice shy. a lot of good stories guys.. its no different in canada. rubber cheques and stolen ideas. its a cruel world. one thing i have never done and never will is steal and copy.
