I notice there has been some of the new yamamoto senko used molds for sale. I was just curious because the molds are the prefect approved senko. I use Del molds- I was just surprised to see the new USED molds for sale so quickly. Is there some thing wrong with the molds?

Last year at about this time; co angler flat out killed the spotted bass with a swinging football / sweat beaver set up. I was throwing jig same color and size beaver and he was stroking his fish 5 to 1 of mine. Hell of a day for him. Alot of numbers; something about the movement caused the bass to get excited.

Just want to know if you can expand on the the phase "swim and they look more natural". The hook set or pitch kick the bait up different or more swimming tail action. Just curious.
-
For example; EWG 5/0 hook on a 1/2 swimhead with a Keitch 5' 8'' Swimbait ; I was told the Ewg would be better for swim action and balance. The pitch and angle of the hook would grap the hook set better on the fish. I don't know. It hard to change sometimes. For example; my friend said " stick a regular j off set hook on a soft twitch bait, not very good hook percentage, but with the put a ewg off set hook on, the hook set percentage goes up" that was told to me. Great information fellows

I'm making some jig and some swimbait jig heads. I'm using the 30 degree hook on the molds. Just had one big question. I've always use round bend jig and swimbait hook. My close personal friend don't me to switch to the " wide gap jig hook". I have never used the hooks like that design, any feed back on those type of hooks would be great. I'm going to use them on a 3/8, 1/2 , 3/4 swimbait & 1/4 , 3/8 jig. I don't know any close friend that use the ewg jig hooks, and feed back would help. Thanks

Hey- Army-boot; how does the grub and skirt mold shoot. What size injector pump do you use. Please excess me; I'm new to the injection side of making plastic bait.
-
I been trying to fight the process of injection back, but I've lost. GY Baits have limited their variety of 4 & 5 inch grubs. So I'm forced to make my own now. I have always poured my own for years, I use 4 Sta-worm pots for my single to three stage pouring of worms and others. This search for help on molds and equipment recommendations is needed. I don't want molds and injection equipment for thousands of baits. I would like to be able to shoot a total of 25 or more grubs of a single color at a time. For example; I sit up and pour let say a cinnamon and blue color; I line up all my Del mart molds and pour 20-5 in stick , 12 - 6 in stick and then 8- 7 in stick mold. So I get a mix of every size. So I would like to do the same with grub mold set up. I would like to know a some details. 1. Who makes a nice 3,4,5 inch twin tail grub similar to yama action? 2. What injection pump works good and contestant ? 3. How much can the injection pump make in a single full of hot plastic? 4. What brand of mold shoots good? Like I said, I was not wanting to this; I have not choice. I would now rather make my own now, just like the worms, flukes and drop swimbait!

I was trying to avoid epoxy, but that is what make most sense. Thanks

I been using lure jig paint and nail paint for yours on my jigs and darter heads. I don't like the power paint nor the vinyl paints. Has anyone use spray paint or paint I can dip the lure into and hang and try and still be worm proof. I would like to use a paint that I can purchase from either Home depot or Lowes. Worm proofing is my biggest concern.

Del has great products, I'm glad I can order them from lurecraft. I have a close personal friend of mine that is a aluminum fabricator and welder. Best I've every seen, but He can't speak to anyone longer then 5 seconds. His Public relations and communications are bad. But his Boss just feed him work and leaves him alone. Maybe that what Del has, great products and just ruff consumer service. Get the mold from Lurecraft and let Del drill and press the molds.

Thanks very much, I would have been completely off. I was thinking more like 6-8 drops per 4 oz. Thanks very much!

What the heck happened to Del. I use to call him way back when and seem fine. I stepped away from pouring for a while, and the customer service went down. Order all your molds from Lurecraft, I know that for sure. I have a good contact that went threw some s@#T to get this molds. I purchase all my stuff , eight years ago. However I plan on ordering a tube and brush hog mold and I will be placing them with Lurecraft.

I planning on trying to match a Yama senko tomorrow. It is the color 214 It is listed as a smoke/ black , blue-chart senko. I pour most of all the other colors, but I never poured anything close to this color. If any can help with a base start I would appreciate it. I just received some glass media for the senko, so I plan on adding salt just for taste or background color perhaps.

Just curious I never purchase Jann's netcraft plastic colorants. Does any one know who produces the color for Jann's netcraft. I use MF and lurecraft, I wouldn't want to stock a different brand colors.

I always spray Bang into the mold before pouring. The plastic will absorb the scent.

Hey Skeeter, glad you posted on this subject, Your history and knowledge on the Tapp is right on! I been fishing James" On the line Tapp Crankbaits for years in California waters. The Tapp is a very effective crankbait when the lake get alot of pressure on them. Two weeks ago, most of the anglers were throwing plastic crankbaits, I came in and threw Tapps and little Flat sided Cranks and got in the Top five. Did not win, but I had a punchers chance. So some reason the spotted bass will come up and for some reason mouth the tail hook and slowly load up on the blank. This will happen I notice during the summer, when the lake has a lot of pressure from boats and jet skies. I know there was several angler fishing the same water, and nearly all were throwing some type of plastic cranks, I fishing right behind my friend trail,( I asked first if I could ) he threw lucky craft crank, no bites. I threw the Tapp in two colors, I went from 3 lb for two fish on the boat, and four hours later 12.56 limit with spots. It funny to me trying the figure out the fish with cranks, I had a Old Badley tied on, two Tapps tied on, Two small flated sided cranks on, One Old sytle poe and finally custom painted DT 16 on.( 7 rods ready) That day the spot wanted the Tapps. All my balsa cranks are painted or made from birth from " On the line Crankbaits".

I fish the tapp out in california waters and do good with them. After spawn and when the bass are eating large bait size shad. Sometimes the spotted bass out here what a tight wiggle crank. That is when the Tapp comes threw. I get my Tapp from James Marshall, " On the line crankbaits" he is on face book. I first read about Tapps when Joel Richarson, in the Carolinas winning the FLW event on the Tapp. I spoke with him and he referred me to On The Line Crankbaits. I been using them every since. I great bait and a hell of a action. I have a couple orginal Tapp, Some seem to be 1/2 or 7/16 in thickness of wood.

Howdy Members, for those whom purchase and received wiggle wart blanks for Predator Bass Baits, Just would like to know what you all think so far. They look very promising. I'm going to order some, but like some members feed back that have some from Predator Baits. Also, would like to say Thanks You to Predator Baits to have the initiative to go out and spend time to have a mold and many blanks made. I hope it is a success. So I can purchase blanks!

Howdy, Need help, this is my final attempt to learn. My rod building instructor had a traumatic health issue and no longer can give instruction on rod building. The other instructor past away. Is there any member willing to teach or know some one on rod building in the Fresno, CA area. I'm not in the interest of learning for a business, but for the knowledge of building several rod for myself the way I like them. My rods consist of the old Phenix Rods from 20 + years ago. I would like to update my rod with modern rod design. Any leads or help would be great!

Hey fellow members, I has been a long time since I poured some stick bait. I pulled the molds out and blew the dust of the molds. Please forgive me, I don't remember if I purchased Diamond Crystal Pop corn salt or Diamond Crystal Fine salt. I believe in 2007 a member on the subject told me to use diamond salt senko, I know it suspended well and pours great. I forgot a lot of information on pouring and trying to recover my lost information. I was involved in a bad auto collision, The guardian angel saved my life. I'm coming around on pouring bait again for myself. I just don't remember on the salt details and amount. Thanks for members and Tackleunderground.

I plan on making some pop mold this weekend. However, I purchase Dental pop. I remember in college my friend was using it to make teeth impression to make a bridge. He told me the Dental plaster had better accuracy and detail. I lost track of him, he went into a dental field of making crowns and other teeth related stuff. So I purchase some this week. 12.87 a 50 lb sack. However the sack doesn't give the mixing ration. Any help would be appreciated.

Robo worm- THREE STAGE POUR TOP-- red oxblodd bloodline- purple bloodline bottom- salted part-- like a burnt orange - peanut butter bottom- amber(mf) possible I'm trying to copy the bottom of the worm- salted part As for salt, when the bait is still in the mold, still boiling hot, I shake salt on the bait. I believe ROBO worm using something similar that works for them. I just trying to get a close match on the bottom of the worm.
