the scales that i have came from staples they are postage scales and have both ounces and grams settings on them they were less than 20 bucks and have been going strong for close to 10 years

polytranspar is one of the best paints on the market it has alot of good things about it that i like and i wont use anything else as i have never had any trouble out of it ....so why change

I think someone has way to much time on his hands......lol craig you just named most of the people in east tennessee......i think everyone around here has a dream of making it big in the handmade crankbait buisness.....now i have to clean up the mess i made on my computer......take care

guys alot of the names that i use comes from my dad... jawjacker came from a fishing tourny that we were in and the fish were short striking the lures and he looked at me and said that you had to jack there jaws hence.... jawjacker then another one came from me calling him.... knot head which is one of the models that i make and then karen comes up with the southern secret lures models ssd.....then the ssm ....then sss......all of which stands for southern secret deep.. southern secret medium and southern secret shallow thats how i keep up with the types of baits that i make

i can say that those are not sonnys baits as he lives about 2 miles from me and i am there more than i am at home just ask my wife lol one thing that will give that away is that sonny airbrushes his eyes onto his baits..........

i will have to agree with craig on these baits as i also believe that they are early zoom baits made by ed chambers those are definatly not thundershad baits as they used a preformed lip for there baits with a bib wire in them....

guys that bait is alittle more complicated than you would think it took over two and a half months to figure all of its little qwirks out a close friend of mine is the one who makes the lures for redemption outdoors and i have actually seen the bait it is well worth the 17.95 the craftsmanship is really well designed so that the bait can be worked in so many different ways that it makes it a very versitale bait to use ......so keep an eye on redemption outdoors there may be some more baits to come......hint ..........hint ..........

hey silver streak try using a bull nosed end mill made for machining metal make a mold out of some sort of material to hold bait steady this end mill has a round head on it but you can use it in a drill press to mill out the mouth of your bait hope this will help you out jawjacker www.jawjackerlures.com

could also be the length of the lip having some effect on the action also a pic really would help out in this case

dkeys sounds like a weighting problem do you have any weight in the bottom of the bait for ballast

riverman certain combs make good stencils for vertical bars and they come in various widths rob cochran

dean and bob are hitting the nail on the head it takes close to a month to fully cure as for your adhesion problem i can say that its not the topcoat it is an underlying problem of one of the layers of paint that is not bonding to the one below it every layer should "etch"itself to the one below it or it will seperate from itself but i can say that its not the dicknites topcoat as this is tough stuff i have been using something like it for close to 10 years and have never had a failure yet ......jawjacker

bassin more than likely your paint is to thick try thinning it some more and straining it to make sure that there are no clumps or thick particles in it if this doesnt solve your problem just give me a shout you dont live very far from me and i will be glad to help you find out just what is going on since you just live across the river from me later rob "jawjacker" cochran

welcome mike as john blazer said it will take some time and alot of practice but in the end its all worth it this is very addicting and does become habit forming take it from someone who has done this for close to 20 years now i live about 5 min.away from fort loudon dam if you ever have any questions feel free to ask i will be glad to help or just come to the fishing show at the jacobs building i will be in my normal corner maybe john will be there he sometimes stops by to chat so just join in hope to see you there.....Rob"Jawjacker"Cochran:)

ellie try going to wal-mart and look for a grill rotiseri motor they should be on clearance now since the summer is almost over and they are already putting christmas stuff out what ever happened to halloween and thanksgiving o well try this it is not very expensive and they last forever i have some that are close to 10 years old and still work fine just like the day that i bought them hope this helps you out later mrs jawjacker

meallenjr the only thing about trying to buy a duplicator is they are very expensive they cost between 20-30 grand if you can still buy one lee sisson used to sell them but yakima bought him out and they will not sell any machines to the public

bugn those machines are called a compucarve they are very slow and very loud and only cut three axis and the crankbait has to be made in two parts and glued together
