  13. River Man Get them from a little local Craft Store .. Works Great Happy Easter Boone
  14. RiverMan I brush mine on and only make a few baits at a time , so I use a small amount at one time . I open a can and place all the contents into little 1 oz glass bottles with plastic lined lids .. Also I tape the lid over to eliminate any air getting in .. Seems to work really good and I can store 15 to 20 bottles at one time and havent had any problems yet Boone
  15. I have two a 7' and a 6' footer .. Have tried to locate a few more over the years ... No Luck ... Very Hard to find but if you find a couple that you dont want , please let me know Good Luck Boone

  18. Chief You can always find your answer here .. One things really nice about TU .. Everyone helps each other and we all learn from each other.... !!!!! Take care ERT Buddy Boone
  19. Jed Very air sensitive ... When I get a can I open and place all the contents into little vials with plastic lids..I then tape the lids off around the vials.. I paint Dick's on with a brush so I only expose one vial at a time while working on baits ... Otherwise , if you worked out of your can ect , you are taking risks messing up the whole can .. As far as light sensitive .. My vials are clear and I havent noticed any problems yellowing etc .. Just my two .. There are many ..many others on TU that do things differently and their method works for them ... Hopefully you will get a good response and a lot of differnt storage methods to fit your application Good Luck - Good Stuff Boone
  20. Teenbean Don't get in a hurry ... Yep we have all done this !!!! Let your paint dry and another key is to not paint a real heavy coat on your baits at one time .. ie - Paint a light coat - Heat Set - then you can paint a heavier coating then HEAT SET again ... Several light sprays is much better than one heavy spray with a lot of paint at one time.. You will have a harder time getting the paint dry with a heavy coat. I have a couple of colors of Createx that seems to take longer to dry .. We all want to get the finished one done quickly but the old saying " Been there done that" on not letting it dry completly .. Another learning process in our hobby of "Making Baits" Good Luck Boone
  21. In Looking at your Crankbait , I am inclined to agree with BobP .. I foil a good many baits and I would try one piece cut down to the swelled area , seperate piece for the swelled area and another on the bottom .. Blending them together with your scaling tool.. Also you could cut with your tools a deeper grove around the swelled where it meets the body of the crankbait and hide the seams there .. Just a thought ... Most wrinkles you can rub out with a solid tool and then press your scale in and never know where the seams are except if you use heavy type foil.. I like Venture as Bob P mentioned , a lot thinner and peel and stick .. Big Craft Stores usually carry it ... Give it a try and let us know if you find a better one (or I should say , "one easier to work with") . .Good Luck Boone
