It's not something that sits well with me as this has always been a "dream" job and a lot of fun for me. I've put a lot of time and money into the site and hate to let it go. Things have changed in my life, however, and I have to make some tough decisions. HandPouredWorms.com is professionally designed and can be run with very little website knowledge. If you like the way the site is set up right now, running it is quite literally as easy as uploading pictures and product descriptions. With just a little HTML knowledge, you can really make some drastic changes. I had never built a website before this one, nor did I have any HTML experience. I learned as I went. If you are serious about breaking in the business and are looking for a site, this is probably an excellent opportunity for you. The site is turn-key with tons of potential. If you shop around at other online bass fishing stores, not just hand poured shops, but the big guys out there...I think you will see that HandPouredWorms.com is as easy to navigate (or better), as well layed out (or better) and built with as good of software (or better) as any of them. My next step was to break into custom painted crankbaits, hand carved swimbaits and custom built rods as well as accessory products like hooks, line, etc. Several of you here on TU had already contacted me about this. This site has all the fundamentals to take the niche "hand crafted" category to the mass online market. There is a big market out there of people who want custom tackle. That was what my plan was, but you can do it however you want. I know there are guys on here that are interested in a "mall" to sell their stuff with other TU members. My site could potentially do that for you as well if the new owner was interested in doing that. There are a lot of different directions this site could go and the potential is big. If you are in the market for a website, with this one you know what you are getting and already has a lot of work in it. The possiblities are limitless. If the rumors are true and the big manufacturers like Berkley and RoboWorm browse this site and steal all our fresh ideas , this message is for them: I know you are all coming out with your own "hand poured worms" product lines. While you might not want the software and everything else that is on the site as it might not match your look/feel, the domain name comes with it You can't get a much better domain name than HandPouredWorms.com if you are trying to sell hand poured worms. I am in the concrete coatings industry and there are good polyurethane products that are UV stable. We don't use epoxy for exterior surfaces because it yellows. Even in garages, the first couple feet of the garage will yellow on an epoxy floor. Granted, I live in Arizona and we have more UV than anywhere else. Polyurethane that we use is superior to epoxy. It's dual component, 60+% solids. Try Veron 246 Polyurethane. It's resistant to UV, chemicals, everything. It's what they use in airport hangers. It's not cheap, however. Gunna set you back about $120-$150 per 1 gallon.

Kelly, it's funny you say that...because that is exactly what I tell people all the time. lake Powell is my favorite place I have ever been. I've been fishing in AK, cruised the Bahamas, vacationed in Hawaii several times, been all over the US....but I'd pick Lake Powell over any of that and not just because of the fishing! If you guys haven't been, it's absolutely amazing! IMHO it's more awesome than the Grand Canyon and on the same grand scale! I just wish it were easier to get to so we could do a meeting there.

CA has got to be out with all the problems there. Phoenix has some nice lakes within a couple hours. Havasu and Powell are cool lakes. Depending where you come from, they might be hard to get to. Vegas is usually the cheapest place to fly in and out of and get hotels. Mead is just 1-2 hours away. The weather cools off in Oct/Nov and the fishing really picks up. I think Vegas is the best choice....sometime in late October/early November. Also with Vegas, people from AZ, Las Vegas and So Cal would likely tow their boats so you can pull boats from more geography.

There aren't as many as you would hope for. I just search for mold in sporting goods.

Hey guys, I'm looking for glass worm rattles in bulk. I see Barlows has a 100 pack for about $15 (about 15 cents each). Anybody have a source for less money than that? I'd be willing to buy more than 100 for the right price. Thanks, Ryan

You mentioned a couple hundred (200?) baits in a 3 hour period.... With enough molds, and little experience, you can do this by hand with a microwave and 2 cup pyrex.

TackleTour is legit and I have always thought they were open and honest about the baits they review. I have read some of their tests where they did not catch anything and still gave a good review. I think they know that sometimes the bass just aren't hitting that bait. They will check it out for durability, color, action, etc. so make sure you are sending your best baits out. If you are positive you make a good bait, I'd go for it. Even with just an OK review, as long as it is not bad, you are going to get some business from it.

Ah, you guys are bringing back memories. I was one of the first to start selling sticks on eBay some years back. I would AVERAGE $20 per 30 pack....sometimes getting up to $35. Those were the good ol' days. I had so many people emailing me for sticks, that was all I had time to pour. Within 6 months, there were at least a dozen others selling on there. The injected ones started showing up and that really drove the price down. I remember one time seeing 100 injected ones for $12, Buy It Now price. I bought some of them and they were stiff, had no action and a slow salt content. Oh memories....

Dave, I am sorry I ruffled your feathers. I felt as though you attacked something I did and got defensive. I felt the need to defend and clarify what I said since you quoted it and called it a damning paragraph. When you do that, people will naturally get defensive. I got defensive on this because there was a fairly heated debate on the subject not too long ago. I thought the whole topic was put to rest and then I felt as though you called me out as doing something wrong (selling a knockoff). Again, whether or not selling a "knock off" is wrong, that is your opinion, we have already gone there with that other thread...didn't know why we need to go there again. At your suggestion, I am posting my PM I sent you here. I meant no disrespect by my post to you, was more just defending what I felt like I was being called out on. Maybe I read the post the wrong way and if I did so, I publicly appoligize. Ryan
