  1. switch to fluorocarbon and downsize your line maybe to 8#. That might only get you another foot or two, though.
  2. Awesome work guys. It makes me want to go get another jon boat. I used tohave one that I fixed all up. There is just something about fishing out of a jon boat that is a lot of fun!
  3. I've looked into doing a 100 cavity cube before and was told that the baits in the middle take too long to set up due to all the heat from the other cavities. I was told that it would take longer doing it this way then just using more molds....I am interested to here how it works out for you.
  4. Nice! Is that a CNC machine? is that set up in your garage? How about some details...
  5. #1 - I think it is always best to learn with pyrex and learn the characteristics of that mold before you start using the pot. Some molds do better when you start and end in certain spots. #2 - Many topics on salt on the forums. It is best to try and find it locally as it is expensive to ship. Regular popcorn salt is the best start. #3 - Licorice scent is Anise Scent. You can get pure anise online. Just do a search for it.
  6. I was skeptical when I first saw these, but tried them out and the results were good. It is a lure that will be around for a while and I like to add it into my spinnerbait/buzzbait/crankbait repertoir. I like the Booyah ones.
  7. Real nice looking set up guys! i love seeing people's shops. it is great for getting ideas!
  8. I thought SenkoSam used to have .090.
  9. I have the X-135 and honestly wouldn't recommend anything lesser than that. it has a larger screen and greater signal strength. I can actually see my bait below me if I drop shot straight down. I already want to upgrade to a color unit. I know price is an issue and I see the X-135 for sale quite a bit on the used market because it comes with boats stock a lot of times and people take them off to put on gps/color units. Look on eBay, Bass Fishing Home Page and other bass fishing forum's classfied section to find them. It's a good unit, but I want to upgrade to color.
  10. I caught my personal best night fishing with one of these 14" worms: http://www.handpouredworms.com/product.php?productid=16178&cat=0&page=1 I like green pumpkin with chartreuse tail. I fished it carolina rig with a 3/4 ounce weight. I got slammed. It's not uncommon for me to use a 1 oz weight on these, either. I prefer larger 10" and 14" worms on a carolina rig for night fishing, but not sure I have the confidence to throw them during the day. Carolina Rig is the only way I like to fish them with about a 3 foot leader and a 5/0 hook. When I work the bait, I just give the rod big lifts so the bait raises way off the ground.
  11. You got it, it just hides the hook shank area.
  12. You won't find them "dead on". The guys that are hand pouring them, the pours are slightly thicker than a senko. The guys that are injecting them, they don't have the same salt content and/or softness to them. If you want "dead on", well....you are going to have to stick to the original. That being said, I have seen several hand pours that can put a senko to shame. I've also seen some bad knockoffs, too. Good luck on your search. Please let us know if you find what you are looking for.
  13. I heard that the USPS was approved to raise postal rates. Anyody able to confirm if flat rate envelopes and boxes will be affected?
  14. Moved to classified. Didn't want any problems. Thanks.
  15. I priced them out at Home Depot. They are expensive, IMHO. I then priced them out on eBay. MUCH better prices.
  16. I looked into something like this as well (building something), but couldn't figure out how you would have a mixer attached and still keep it pressurized. Any tips?
  17. Anybody have some pics of this pot? I don't see any on the LC website.
  18. I use a table top drill press and it works very nicely. It really depends ont he size of the stirrer, too. You need to use a small stirrer or it will go way to fast. Just reduce the diameter of your stirrer. Go to Home Depot and look in the paint department at their paint mixer bits.
  19. The site crashed a couple months back and we lost a lot of valuable info. I think a lot of those links probably link back to lost areas on the site and are not working. Hopefully a mod can update it. Good catch!
  20. If I were doing this in a room in my house, I'd definately be looking for good vent hoods and vent them outdoors. I'd get a vent hood above every area you are going to pour at. If you have carpet, I'd buy something to protect it. It is inevitable that something will spill or splatter. Peg board if you are going to peg bags...bench...stool...shelving....
  21. I'm surprised to hear that about Del's Chartreuse. The one I have is very strong. Maybe he changed the potency of it, though. Mine settles out and I have to heat it up for 10 seconds before I mix it.
  22. People are going to argue this both ways here, I think it has already been debated. But I am fairly certain that a patent prohibits people from making them for personal use as well.
  23. Could be wrong, but I thought the claws on the paca craw were patented.
  24. Congrats man, glad it worked out for ya. Keep up the good work!
