I use a simple one Devon 2 ton mixed 50/50 to 60/40 with denatured Alcohol, soaks in and works great ,2 coats totally changes the characteristics of the wood ,took me a long time to get that but thanks to TU boys I cut the learning curve drastically, use what you feel comfortable with.

Phil has one at MuskieMagnet, and Out2Llunge was going to have access to one shortly, I would ask them. this is one of the Baits Magnet makes and they are all clones, that CNC is awesome, and it does create consistency.

One idea I had was S/S airplane cable 1/8th dia 17 or 1800# breakage but it depends on the size bait your making to also thought of Kevlar string but they say it may not hold up but the strength is like 5-6000#

I love the embroidery loop trick Jed I just need to get one the size of a Beach Ball LOL BB you are in the right place to learn what to do just keep trying it just takes time you should see some of my screw ups I mean trial lures don't sweat it

The guys on myth busters made one that was a oval dough nut shape with a trolling motor as a current generator pretty cool but not cheap to make it looked like 1/4" lexan 3-4' long and 2' wide and 1.5' deep roughly

Hey Brad I would go with a .51 S/S wire for the body I use a 1/8th brass tube or a 1/8th square tube for the rotating head epoxy the tube in file down and drill out the tube before final assembly Hope this helps

I've been using it with no ill effects other than the occasional bubble flare up but I'm covering alot of area never did smaller baits it may be the primer or wood sealer

Yep it's a biggie I just got them out to late in the season and proto testing ate up the summer but the field testers are happy and I'm happy with what we have it's just a matter of time now I have 100% confidence in this bait to get fish it does everything right Tracks straight dives fast no blowouts runs 30' deep on 50' line I love this bait thanks for the response and your right it does look like one of those fish stuck on a whale LOL
