Carved from western red cedar; through-wired, unweighted, 6 1/2 inches long. Iridescent color shift, homebrew eyes. Started this last year and just now getting around to finishing it. Hope you like him.

While I cannot get the bottom pic to enlarge, it appears to be a jerk/glide bait. The tail creates drag and I'd bet that the body is weighted to give it a downward bias when jerked.
If you like the CS stuff, you might want to consider trying enamels. Its a whole new world and allows techniques, colors, and effects unavailable or impractical with water-based paints.
The caveman drawings also had complaints about the star system used in their gallery. Emailing the rock drawings was difficult and they failed to use clear between paint layers, which is why the colors washed off and were eventually lost for all time. Because of their laziness, we'll never know what color patterns were effective for them.
The cavemen were an inferior lot.
There. I said it.
I tried to understate the paint on this one and the pearls helped a lot. The top is actually brighter than it looks from the side view, for what its worth. There is actually more purple pearl below and behind the gill plate but the light didn't catch it in this pic. I'm going to fish this one. I've been selling a few, but I want to try this one because I gave it a yellow/chartreuse belly.
Had fun with the scales on this one too. Hope you like it. Hope the fish do too.
