  1. Of course, is going to run great; he's got a cow trough the size of a swimming pool in his garage! That a beauty, Matt.

    new crankbait

Now that is your best ever, Jody. I live the opalescent look it has to the sides and the finish is great!

    browntrout

I'm likin' it a lot. Love how you did the mouth details and the line tie.

    Topwater (first baits)

That's the beauty of bait-making. You can change what the commercial guys did and often improve the productivity of any given style of bait. Nice work!
  5. Pete has a style that I admire and your work honors his nicely. I like em all.

    The Dark Side

I like it just the way you did it. Quality construction too. On my waters, a top-water musky strike is all to rare, but it does happen under certain conditions and I wish I could get more of it. There's something about a top-water getting smashed. My fishing partner and I both had top-water baits get struck within a span of about 5 minutes. He landed his, I lost mine, but mine launched straight into the air after I set the hook. I will never forget the cast, the strike, the hook set, and that 40ish musky clearing the water by about 3 feet. Beautiful work, nice bait. I hope you score with it and post some pictures...or better yet, some video:yay:

I bet this one is going to be a producer. Very nice.
  9. Well done. I really like the fine detail on this one.

    Bad as- bluegills.....

You ought to be proud of this one.
  11. Red, that is truly impressive and that type of thing is the reason I come to this website. It is just amazing to see what different minds devise and how guys modify the works and tricks of others to make them even better. That thing is fascinating. I'm sure you thought of this already, but I'll bet you could also apply a sander to the same task. Off the top of my head, I could imagine a sander of the type where a long thing belt is suspended between two driving rollers. That would allow the blank to move the belt somewhat so as to not remove too much material too fast. Great work.

    8" Sucker crankbait

The eyes have a sucker look to them!
  18. To "revive" your rotisserie motor try this: Take apart the motor. Inside you'll find that the metal piece that attaches to the shaft (which turns the wheel) is made of cheap pot metal. There is a set screw in the pot metal. Get a larger set screw and simply force it into the old hole and that wheel will be good for another 1000 baits or so. When you open up that motor housing, which is an easy task, the above will make perfect sense. Your wheel is no longer spinning because that hole into which the set screw is inserted is stripped so the set screw no longer functions. Don't be afraid to tear the motor unit apart. You were going to replace it anyway so be bold and give it a try.

That will have some hog walleyes eatin' it!
  20. Do you mean 18 - 20 feet while casting?
