  1. That is the exact kit I started with. If I did the math right, I would say 320-384 worms. I am assumng 10-12 for every 4 ozs. of plastic. Saint.
  2. Go to Del-Mart.com and buy a starter kit. It should run you a little over $100. It comes with everything you need to start. Saint.

    Paypal

I know this is kinda unrelated, but I am selling a mold and we want to pay with paypal. However, I am not sure how to receive money on my paypal account. I have only paid people. Anyone know how to complete this transaction. Thanks. Saint.
  4. Proper gear. I assume a painter's mask is sufficient? I don't need a full blown resperator, do I? Thanks.
  5. That is what I needed to know. Thanks. Saint.
  6. Harley: When do you add the bubbles in the cooking process? Also, do you have to worry about breaking the bubbles while stirring? Thanks.
  7. Here is the price he quoted me. It is a little bit more than what predator said. Here are the prices for our 5" version, I could run a 6.5" for about 20% more. Worm.2 5" 2 piece handpour molds 10 cavity $170 5 cavity $100 This would make the total for a 5 pour $120 plus $10 S&H, and a 10 pour $204 plus $10 S&H. My 5 pour cost me $130 to my door. Not trying to start an argument, but don't want anyone being surprised. Saint.
  8. A whole lotta don'ts here, reminds me of growing up. Here are some do's: Do-learn how to use the search function Do-feel free to ask questions Do-be honest when talking about certain products Good or Bad, as you could save the members here alot of money. Do-have fun Saint.
  9. Here are the answers to the questions asked: Smallie- It is a 2 piece mold with a flat side. It looks exactly like a zoom. It is not custom, but it also not on his site. You need to contact him. He is very good about responding to emails. Jmik- I believe it is 6.5 inches. I got a response from Shawn this morning. He said you just have to learn to pour straight down the middle. He suggested possibly adding some softner to help the flow. He also said I could file the holes a bit bigger, but that would also alter the head of the worm. I think that should do it. See ya. Saint.
  10. Yes, I emailed him about it tonight. I am just so pumped about this mold that I thought I would ask around here as well. This post was not a knock on Shawn's product at all. This is my problem, and I am seeking advice. I have also attached a couple of pics. Unfortunately, I am the worlds worst photographer. These really look better than the pics show. One is a chartreuse/pumpkin and the other is a junebug/red trick worm. These were poured with 2 ozs. plastic and .75 TBS salt. Saint.
  11. Does anyone here use Shawn's trick worm mold. I received mine today and it pours an awesome looking bait. However, I am having trouble with the holes clogging due to thier size. Does anyone have any tips to pouring this mold? Thanks. Saint.
  12. The dent is an air bubble not escaping, I think. Try not to pour so fast or make sure the plastic is hot enough. Saint.

Here is my recipe: 4 oz. Plastic 1.5 TBS Salt 20 Black Grape 2 Red 6 Black 15 Purple Green flake to taste Hope this helps. Saint.

    2 pc molds

The two pieces are screwed together and poured into. They generally produce one single rounded full body lure. I think that is what you were asking.
  15. Yes, it is different. Most craft store flake will not be able to handle the high temps. It will curl and change colors. Saint.
  16. I get mine straight from MF in 5 gallons. Cost is some where around $120 to my door. Saint.
  17. Post a pic of a bait in that color and you may have more luck. Saint.
  18. 4 grams does not seem right to me. I would think you need to be more in the 11-14 range to match senko. Some other guys should chime in on this. Mine weigh around 11 but the deepest water I fish down here is about 5ft. Saint.
  19. Grinding it wouold help it suspend, but will hurt the color more. At least this is what I think. Saint.
  20. Stir, stir, and then stir some more. You should stir after every other pour at least. Hope this helps. Saint.
  21. G: I have taken a look at Dels floating plastic, and was not impressed ( no offense to April & Del). Basically, it calls for mixing the floating plastic with regular plastic before pouring. That seem like a whole lot of extra work, and I am not interested in extra work. I also have some MF floating additive, but have not tried it yet. I have heard too many stories about these bubbles and health risk. I keep telling myself that I will try it one day, but that day has not come. I am very interested in hearing more about these bubbles, as I am also trying to get the illusive floating frog. Saint.
  22. I get 10-12 form 4 oz. so your number seems reasonable. Did you weigh any of them? Your cost does not seem too far off either. Good luck. Saint.
