  1. Most of here can pour pretty much whatever color you want. You would be hard pressed to find something that someone here could not pour. Saint.
  2. Thank you very much. It is great to be back. Saint.
  3. What's up folks. It has been a really long time since I have posted here. We just had our first baby so pouring has been on the back burner for me. I have read this thread and found it very interesting. I may try to learn how to make my own molds to play around with. I also want to say thanks to Jim for all of his work and willingness to share secrets. For those that don't know he is very good at this stuff and a very good source of info. Saint.
  4. I have had both types. My customers seem to prefer Del's full round mold. I think it looks better and is a bit different. Saint.
  5. Very interesting topic. Robert and Jeff over at MF are great as are the LC folks. Del is,well you guys have covered that already, but he makes some really good molds. Bob makes good molds and has good customer service. I have also used Bob over at Ozark tackle and have been happy. I have never used the others mentioned. Saint.
  6. 4 ozs. plastic 1.5 TBS Salt 20 Del's light watermelon 1 LC Black 3 LC Green Pumpkin
  7. Mike: I am in the process of testing my bass swimbaits for trout and reds. Unfortunately, because of the coming baby I am not able to get to the coast as much as I used to. I have sent some swims to a bud who is going to test them for me. I will let you know as soon as I here something. Saint.
  8. Mike: 95% of all of my fishing is done on the LA coast for trout and reds. Here are some of our most popular: 1. LSU (purple (like junebug) with a chartreuse tail 2. Glow or pearl with a chartruese tail 3. Smoke 4. Pink Champagne 5. Blue moon The last two are more of a shrimp color. Please let me know if you have any questions. Saint.
  9. That is what I thought as well. Saint.
  10. Nil: Show him some of your yellow and black grumpies. That should keep him busy for a while. Saint.
  11. Nice counter tops. Oh yeah, the worms look good too. I think that is probably the easiest way. Saint.
  12. Sock, you hit it right on the head. I too spend an afternoon pouring just tips and storing them for later. I would only add to make sure you let them cure really well before storing or the will not be straight. Saint.
  13. You can pour straight down the hole. An easier way would be pour pour the tail color you want about 1/4 of a whole stick. Then cut whatever length you want for the tail and put it back in the mold and close. Now pour some really hot plastic to finish the bait. I do this on my diamond tails and it works pretty well. Feel free to ask me any questions. Saint.
  14. Where is this two piece swimbait mold you speak of? Thanks. Saint.
  15. Angler: No, I have not. All I do is solids and different color tails. Saint.
  16. Dutch, if you don't like them, let me know. I will probably take them off of your hands. I can also probably answer most any questions you may have. Saint.
  17. I used to pour outside. Just make sure you are blocked from the wind. Saint.
  18. JSC: How hot do you pour your plastic? I am curious because I bought a couple of reduction nozzles back when I first started with my pot. However, I never used them because the stream was thin enough for me. I may try them at some point. Thanks. Saint.
  19. Down in South Louisiana we have pretty stained water, so Junebug is #1. Once you get to Toledo Bend you are looking at watermelon red primarily, but any watermelon is good. So watermelons, green pumpkins and junebug is probably it. I sell more junebug and watermelon red than anything. Saint.
  20. Just curious. Why do you use a reduction nozzle? Saint.
  21. try this. You may need to tweak to your liking: 4 oz. Plastic 5 pumpkinseed 1 white 1 black Flake to taste Saint.
  22. That looks good. Is that Bob's mold? How do you pour a different color belly in his mold? Thanks. Saint.
  23. If you do not use salt, put some white. It will give the cloudy look of salted baits. I think I use pumpkinseed, white and black. I am not sure of the amounts. Saint.
  24. Jmik is right on target. I pour 2 packs at a time in swims, sticks and toads. I pour 10 worms at a time, but 12 is a whole pack. I would shoot for no less than one pack at a time. Saint.
