  1. Try to slow down the pour. That will allow the gas to vent out and not get trapped. Saint.
  2. No. you should be fine. If they do come calling, just tell them to contact your lawyer. His name is Jim O'Conner at ghost law firm. Saint.
  3. Those might be great to pour my whites. I do not use the pot for white due to yellowing. Thanks Jim. Saint.
  4. I would assume you guys call zoom's version of bublegum a brighter rather than darker pink? Thanks. Saint.
  5. Hey guys. I need to make some bubblegum colored sticks. I have read a recipe that calls for flourescent pink and white. However, I have seen a bubblegum color available. What do you guys use the flourescent pink or the actual bubblegum? Also, do any of you pour it in a stick? How does the salt change the color? Thanks. Saint.
  6. You got to hang in there a little longer. You know thats Jim outbidding everyone. He is just trying to pump up the price. Keep bidding, I promise you will win at some point. Just having a bit of fun. Awesome baits. Saint.
  7. You can order from his site. If you wait to get in touch, you may be a while. Saint.
  8. I would get these three colors in my kit: light watermelon black green pumpkin Flake Red Black You can make a lot of basic watermelon/green pumpkin colors from that. Then go into the junebug/black grape and green flake. Siant.
  9. I use colors from all 3 makers. I also use flake from LC and Bob at ozark tackle. I would not go buying a whole lot of different colors fron the get go. Start simple until you get the hang of it. That way you won't waste too much if you screw up. Once you get the hang of it, you will need the following: 65 different colors by the gallon 30 different flakes by the pound (in 3 different sizes) 200 molds (in different styles) Plastic by the 5 gallons in regular and soft Oh, yeah basically a salt mine behind your house. This crap/hobby is that addictive. If I would have found this hobby 20 years ago, I would not have had to go to rehab (just joking, I have never been to rehab). This is basically legal crack. Anyway, good luck. You will get all the help you need here. Saint.
  10. So you can make it sink to a certian depth then level off at that depth? Saint.
  11. Nope, when I started pouring I had one mold and poured on top of my bar bq pit. I would sit out there all night pouring and drinking beer. Finally, my wife would come out and say, "time to come in alchi". It is short for alcoholic, which I am not, but I thought it was funny and it stuck. Saint.
  12. So you spray it everytime before using? Thanks. Saint.
  13. I have been using my presto pouring pot for sticks for a while. It looks like the salt in the plastic is chipping of the teflon coating, and plastic is getting harder to pullout when done. So here is my question, can I spray on a new teflon coating? What have you guys done when this happens. Siant.
  14. I do not make swimbaits yet, but even when I do I will not be painting them. However, I was reading the now locked post and got to thinking. Could you use window screen for a scale pattern. It would be very uniform, but I don't think that would matter. Saint.
  15. I have stayed out of this topic so far. However, I want to say a couple of things. We all remember the post a while back by Hillbilly Lures. A lot of people spoke out against the Hillbilly. Why, because he was wrong. That is the way it should be here. I am my brother's keeper. I have had enormous amounts of help from people like Jim, Chris and Nova just to name a few, and I try to help as many as I can. A lot of people ask me if I would like some baits in return for the help. The answer is generally no, just pay it forward. So that brings me to this post. I am not sure how all this started or why, but are we in grade school. Do you like me, check yes or no. That is BS. Kama needs to come out and explain himself, not send out a press release through another member. I have nothing against Kama and wish him all the best, but man it is time to realize you are wrong and come back to reality. Saint.
  16. Welcome. There is no shortage of info here. Do a search and you will be up all night reading the results. Saint.
  17. Thomas: Really only 2 at this time. Bob and Del. Shawn does not seem to want anyone's business. I know a few guys that have been trying to get in touch with him for a while, myself included. He will not return calls or emails. If anyone has any idea why or how to make contact, please let me know. Saint.
  18. You have got to be pouring huge volume for it to be worth your while. Even if a normal hand pourer could afford the machine. To get the number of molds needed would be hella expensive. Saint.
  19. It worked out quite well. We paid for our spot and then some. We also gave out a lot of cards and talked fishing with a lot of people. We are going to do the spring festival as well. I think we will do better at that time. A lot of the people were saying how they winding down fishing this year and preparing for hunting season. So I imagine the spring will be better. We were next to a buddy of mine that makes spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and cranks. His name is CJ Bass. He makes some real good stuff. There was also a guy that makes custom rods there. We are all going to be together in the spring and kind of feed off each other. It will be very cool. I am also trying to get a some other fishing related people to join us. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions. Thanks. Saint.
  20. Better yet, try to hook up a redfishing trip in the LA marsh with the Hack. I am sure he has plenty of room in his triton bay boat. I would imagine that swimbait of yours would be killer. Saint.
  21. Last pic. This has nothing to do with the baits, but it was a very cool dog. Saint.
  22. More pics. The first pic is of our banner. The next is a kid playing with a toad in our aquarium. I actully sold his mom a pack of toads as bathtub toys. The last is our aquarium. We showed how the sticks sink when rigged various ways. Saint.
