  1. I was able to get these two hooks to fit in all cavities without any modification. For the record I buy all my Do-It molds and hooks from Barlow's just because they list hook diameter and alternates. Allen
  2. If just securing the eyes use Sally Hansens "Hard as Nails" fingernail polish as it drys in 5 minutes and I have never lost an eye using it. Allen
  3. Check with Barlows to see what they have? I know Collins molds have less tolerance than a Do-It. Maybe Barlows could send you some sample hooks? I buy all my hooks from them just because of their hook sizing chart as I feel they have helped me. Like you I am a DIY guy but I would not take a dremel to a Collins mold. If the hooks you want do not fit call up Shawn and ask him if he can modify it. Allen
  4. No I have not because I bought the baits off someone else to try before buying the mold. I think my small collarless mold that I modified to take a wire guard is going to work out just fine. Allen
  5. I picked up some thin coffin style blades from someone on BBC about two years ago. These are actually so thin that I bent a few of them putting them on heads. Allen
  6. Fishingskirts.com has started selling the flat rubber in rolls. Allen
  7. That looks like a SK skirt made by GLC fishing to me? You might find the color by referencing the GLC fishing site then ask Charles at Fishingskirts.com if he can get it for you. Allen
  8. They sell small plating kits but I do not know what is involved with plating? Allen

    Big Blades

Lakeland sells blades that big as I have received samples. Allen
  10. It only comes in 3/0 size which is close to 4/0 in other brands. Allen
  11. The past several years the flick shake has done really well for me. Like you I prefer the Jackall jigheads over other ones but they are crazy expensive. The Do-It wacky jigheads I do not like because the hooks bent out on small fish and the wire weedguards just were not working for me. My solution is a modified Do-It ball no collar mold using lite wire Owner hooks and titanium leader wire. The hook shank is longer than I would like but it has been my best solution so far. Allen
  12. The tear drop is my favorite but since I do not lose a lot of DS sinkers I just bought some instead of the mold. If you want to try the ball I will let you borrow my mold. Poured about 100 sinkers when I first bought it and now it just sits in the garage. Allen
  13. Owner makes this. https://www.ownerhooks.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=62?osCsid=d187e18c1b199b2f83144054f7d4cbda Allen
  14. Any further word on these? I could us some before resorting to plan B which requires cutting up some drill bits. Allen
  15. I have been using some light (17lb I think?) titanium leader wire for my flick shake heads lately. Allen
  16. Put me down for 20 of them. Allen
  17. This is what I do as well. Allen
  18. Never had a problem with Charles or Erin from Fishingskirts.com nor Barlows Tackle for that matter. Allen
  19. I had some regular base pins that I filed down where the pin goes into the cavity. This is what I did to use the 1/16" weedguards in the 1/8" molds and it worked well. It took forever to file them down and then a fishing buddy lost them so I am looking for an alternative. My next plan is to cut some 5/64" cheap drill bits up and use heat shrink to fit them to the 1/8" cavity. Allen
  20. Have you checked with Mustang Wire for the forms? Allen
  21. Look at Janns or Barlows under lure bodies. I would post a link but the site will not let me. Allen
  22. I found the same thing when I tried to make them that the resin mix is too thick to pour. Once it warms up enough I am going to trying injecting with a children's medicine syringe. What I can add is that coloring for soft plastics works to color the mixture. While I cannot get the correct density yet I was able to duplicate Keitechs green jig color. Allen
  23. The only thing I have like that is a Flying Lure spinnerbait? Allen
  24. I picked up some on ebay cheap but they came in a lot with gold and silver blades. Allen
