1. Looking for single or 2 cavity two piece 3.5" aluminum smallie beaver mold. Now I know RI has a patent and threatened everyone but I would like one of these. If anyone has one they are willing to get rid of I am interested and I am willing to pay any reasonable price. Allen
2. Thanks for the info! Now I just need to see if I can find a 3.5" one for sale. RI does not make a solid black bait so I need to make some myself. Allen
3. A little off topic but I didn't even know a two piece beaver mold was ever made? So did someone make a 3.5" two piece beaver mold before RI started sueing everyone? Allen
4. I was looking into starting a tackle business so I received samples from the 3 main companies; Worth, Hagens and Lakeland. They sent my the premium ones and I decided to go with Lakeland. While the Hagens people were the best to deal with their premium plated blades were not as good as the others. Worth and Lakeland were very close in quality (I used gold and nickle finishes for comparison) but I chose Lakeland because they had more finish options. Hildrebrandt's are great but very expensive but they were bought out by someone and the last ones I saw in the store the quality looks like it has slipped. Allen

Easy To Make Swim Jig

http://www.captainhookswarehouse.com/index.cfm?page=detail&hookid=516&view=1 They are located under worm hooks. Allen
6. I know others were looking for them in the past but I did not find anything using the search? Battlefield or Mustang wire most likely make them but I just wanted to see if anyone found them before I started making calls. Allen
7. As far as I know they are the same company with Capt Hooks being for personal sales. Allen

Easy To Make Swim Jig

Looks good! If you need some more of those jigheads I had Shawn Collins make me a custom mold to pour them and I will trade some. Allen
9. http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/berkley-swivels/306108.aspx Have you tried these snaps they look stronger. Allen
10. I used this method and my second half of the mold is drying right now. No ten pound bass killas though? Allen
11. If you have a mold that accepts the base pins you can use a skirt collar to pour wire guards. Cut a piece of wire to the desired length, bend a small hook on one end to attach to the hook so it won't fall out of the mold. Slip a jig skirt collar over the wire and put it in the base pin slot where the jighead meets the base pin and close carefully. The collar will hold the wire guard in place and prevent the lead from filling the base pin cavity. This is not a high volume method but it prevents you from having to modify or buy more molds. Allen
12. Did you give the stiff 5/32" ones a try? They are the stiffest ones made that I know of? Otherwise try contacting Kayser lurehttp://kayserlures.com/products.html they own the patent for weedguards and make most of them for the fishing industry. Allen
13. Now I take my wife or daughter with me if I need to buy nail polish! I had a guy try to pick up on me at CVS so never again. Allen
14. Weedguards come in only a couple of standard sizes. If you are using 1/8 just check the usual Janns etc. for the stiff or heavy weedguards. They are about 25% stiffer than the standard guards and I only use them for flippin jigs in heavy cover. Allen
15. The head acts as a keel to stabilize the bait. The pic you posted work not run very well IMO? With the low angle of the head and the blades being that far forward in relation to the hook the top half should wobble back and forth. That bait would run decent with a single blade at low speeds but like I said there will be a lot of wobble with two blades. Tricks I learned about spinnerbaits after making 100's of different ones are; To make the bait roll at a lower speed bend the frame out. By this I mean the distance between the hook and swivel. This creates more drag on the bait and allows it to run correctly at a slower retrieve. Bending the other way makes the bait more stable at higher speeds. A single blade will work better at slower retrieves as well because the amount of force required to turn the blade is less due to the tighter rotational axis. I love a good spinnerbait discussion but I have a college paper due so I will post more later. Allen
16. Fly head cement is all I have ever used. Allen

Best Rattle

The add-a-rattle that Stamina sells is the best one I have used. The ones I am really looking for are the ones Strike King uses on their pro model jigs. Allen
20. They will take larger hooks as I only use 3/0 or 4/0 hooks. I have this mold and I do not use it so I would be willing to trade it if you are looking for one. Allen
21. Different company but for that application I would look at the Owner 5318 hook. Allen
22. Thanks!, Do you know of anything I can use in place of them? Right now I am filing down the end of a 1/8" base hole pin which is a pain. BTW= If you are still looking for hydosilk skirts I found about 30 last weekend while organizing my basement. Allen
23. Where can I get those teflon base pins? I know Barlows sells them in 1/8" but I also need some 1/16" ones. Allen
24. These are 3/8oz chart/white heads with a titanium wire. The wire is not like Terminators snap back wire and I would say it has a softer temper. I have 20 of these and would like to sell them for what I paid $2.50 each plus shipping. These are 1/8oz and I have some in chart/white as well I just need to find them. I am asking $0.75 each plus shipping and have about 25 of each color. Allen
25. The older ones worked better for me as the new ones are a PITA trying to get them to sit in the mold. Allen
