  1. I think I still have a printed copy of it from a couple years ago? Allen

What he said! The 2/0 are too small and the 4/0 I cannot get to pour in my 1/8oz football head mold. Allen

Do you have a picture of the fish? I have about 200 different colored skirt tabs and could use a challange. Allen
  4. Fishingskirts.com If he doesn't have the color you want he will have it made. Allen
  5. I bought some colored dye from Aluminite that you add so the bait is cast in a solid color. The package just says add about 20 drops but this stuff is thicker than silicone to pour. Decided to try just a little bit and what a disaster! Only about half of the mold cured and it ran everywhere. Just seeing if anyone has any advice before it goes in the trash? Allen
  6. He is usually very busy and yes it is frustrating when he says 4-6 weeks but takes 4 months. Allen
  7. I just started using the Naked bait one and really like it. You can use a lot of different colors in your skirts at once. Finally I can make a sunfish colored skirt with 6 different colors with ease. Instead of using screws I just duct tape mine to my kitchen counter. Allen
  8. Hagen's, Worth or Lakeland? I remember it being discussed but my search did not find the thread. Allen
  9. Update, I have poured a couple of baits (RC 1.5) with the Aluminite and microballons like was suggested. The bait turns out great but there is no way the bill will be strong enough. I just carved off the bill with a knife and plan on using a lexan one from Jann's. Figuring out how to weight the belly correctly is the next step going to try a 3/16oz finesse sinker? Now that I have the process down I just need to carve my one bait (or at least try to). Thanks again for everyone who posted the info on how to do this. Allen
  10. Well my first mold did not turn out so well mostly because of me but the new one looks great so far. My question is I want to do a thru wire with the weight attached to the wire. The last mold I tried putting the pour holes on top and setting the wireform inside. The bait did not completely pour and the frame did not stay in place. I fixed the pouring problem with more vents and larger pouring holes. Now I have used nails in the mold but have not cut any vents or pouring holes yet. Right now the plan is to pour from the bottom so the weight and frame will be hanging upside down. What does everone else do? and do you have a pic? I could just drill holes and add hardware like a wood bait but would much rather have the thru wire. Allen
  11. Shawn Collins for about $150? If I can find my reciept I will let you know the exact cost. Allen
  12. I saw on here where someone was using a silicone with a 1 to 1 mix ratio but I cannot find it with the search? Just started working with silicone to make a 2 piece mold and my mix is off. What I am using now is the purple hobby silicone from one of the links Husky posted. I made my first 2 piece mold that has some wet spots but none are close to the where the cast will be. Allen
  13. Not sure of how big you can go but I pour all of mine with a 4/0. Allen
  14. Didn't mean to come off as a a**hole there? I do not like Titanium so I would not look into it. Wouldn't tunsten be to hard of a metal? Allen
  15. You can sell titanium spinnerbaits just Terminator gets a cut of your profits. Allen
  16. My name is Allen and I have been making baits off and on since I was 12. I carved a couple cranks back then but didn't know about ballasting or coating the bait so I gave up on them. Kind of quit fishing for a few years when I was active duty in the Army but started back when I moved back to Maryland. Now I have been making mostly spinnerbaits and jigs with some cranks for the last 4 years. Right now I am attempting the UR baits with the help of all the info I have learned on this site. Allen
  17. I would like to thank everyone who has posted about foam baits. Right now I have a a silicone mold curing (hopefully as I was not exact on that 10-1) and would never have figure out how to do it without this site. I know I post more questions than answers here because I am new to haedbaits. Now if anyone needs help with spinnerbaits I can help. Allen
  18. I just spoke with Charles who owns fishingskirts.com about this today. He said it may not come out right but he could try to make one. He also said next week he would have some new colors coming. Allen
  19. Is that metallic yellow on the skirt tab on the bottom jig? Nive looking jigs BTW. Allen
  20. The regular amber collars do dry rot faster than the other colors. The make those collars in white, black, chartreuse, red maybe other colors? I prefer the black ones as they seem to be stronger. Those mickey mouse looking ones are nice if you want to add rattles but I would suggest a drop of super glue gel to keep them on. Allen
  21. I have one of dayoopers fluid beds and have no trouble powder coating spinnerbaits in pearl white. The only powder that gives me problems is the mixture of different companys that I made. Allen
