  1. Spincast machine and vulcanizer arrived Monday, lead pot came today. I have some silicone on order along with some other supplies. Still need to find some of those metal gate former discs. Allen
  2. Not really sure what happened unless the original had a lot of tin in it? Hard lead used for spincasting is lighter but only like 5%. Allen
  3. Just looked up the weighted hook mold. I have this one and have been using VMC 30 degree EWG hooks with this one. Let me find the model number. Allen
  4. Not sure about the other mold but they do fit the casting jig mold. Allen
  5. Thanks for the offer, I have the Do-It ones and the Shawn Collins one with rattles. Hoping to find some Collins ones to use as spincast masters. Allen
  6. Anyone on here that has one that can pour me some heads? I have the rattle head one but I need some regular heads poured and don't feel like buying $350 worth of molds to get 50 jigheads. Allen
  7. Gamakatsu 345 that lurepartsonline sells is the best I have used. Never tried the Eagle Claw ones. Allen
  8. You are getting too much paint on the jigs if you are getting dripping or nipples. Allen
  9. Tried an engraver on some lead heads and it just isn't steady enough. Guess I will have to try some clay for masters. Allen
  10. Anyone have any experience on making lead masters? I have saved up enough to buy a spincaster, vulcanizer, and the other things to start spincasting. Duplicating say Ned jigs is easy as I can just put some good ones from a Do-It mold together. The two things that I cannot figure out are; how to get details in say a spinnerbait head? Do you carve one out of another material first, etc? and how to calculate weight. Lead I know has a specific weight/density ratio that probably requires math that I gave up on years ago but how to actually calculate is beyond me. So anyone with any tips would be greatly appreciated . Allen
  11. Columbia coatings is where I get most of my paint. Harbor Freight isn't as good as any other paint I have tried but it will work. With that being said I would stay away from it until you get more experience. Allen
  12. Anyone know where I can buy some clam shells for 3.8" Keitech style swim baits? Ideally I would like ones like SK uses but will take anything right now. Allen
  13. Lurecraft sells one with a 30 degree flat eye Owner. Allen
  14. Can I just mix say a lb of bismuth with 10lbs of soft to make it harder? Allen
  15. Let me know if you find some for sale. Allen
  16. Have a lot of money set aside! He quoted me $4500 to 6500 for a mold. Allen
  17. I would use a metal bead behind the clevic. Metal rotating on plastic will cause problems. Allen
  18. They are no longer for sale on his site. Allen
  19. Is the wire different as well? The ones I have are matte black but yours looks like black nickel. Allen
  20. I have a few and the digital caliper says. 035. Now everyone says they are lighter but the 5 I have are all the same. On another note you will have to cut down both arms of any frame you buy. I made a couple of them but haven't painted them yet. Allen
  21. I use Super Glue GEL to glue the weedguards in after painting. The only one that ever came out way on a 40+" Tiger Musky that also dislodged the lead around the hook. Allen
  22. Are the wire keepers the same length as the Do-It ones?
  23. I would like to find where to buy both of those hooks.
