If you look closely, you can see the tops of the tubes recessed a bit down in the openings, I also made a mold using Sharpies for the cavities, they were pulled out of the mold after it dried, then the mold was sealed, look at the center bait in the picture, and big tube mold was made with plastic test tubes, they were removed too
  7. actually, no, the inside of the tube gets the plastic, when you pour the plastic back out, you are left with a "shell" of plastic inside the tube

  11. This is one of my tube molds, pour the hot plastic in, let it cool a few seconds and pour the plastic out, it's all timing. The tube on the left came out of that mold

  15. leaders are a must, I make my own with 30# mono
  16. Flukes work great, but anything you can work in an erratic fashion can work too

  18. Using a homemade laminate plate, I did a little experimenting with Sharpies inside the bait, waiting for the bleeding to begin
