  4. For you all using the syringes are you throwing them away after each use or have you found a way to clean them?
  5. Thanks Frank, looks good!!! How hard is it to get all the plastic out of it, if you want to change colors without letting it cool down? Is the temp prop measuring the plastic or the temp of the unit? Last question how hard is it to clean?
  6. A very interesting bait!! Yes Jason does a good about turning dreams into reality, he did that with carrot idea that I came up with. Ted
  7. Frank, So after using the new machine for about a month how is it working? Do you think it has helped speed up the process up? I am looking for some more feedback from you or anyone else that is using it.
  8. Sounds good Frank, hope to see a video of yours in action soon.
  9. Looks like price has gone up before they have started selling.
  10. I am very interested, I hope to hear your review in a couple of weeks Frank. I am wondering if you could heat the plastic in the microwave transfer it to this to speed it up.
  11. Yes you can but over time it will start to crack because of the heat. Once that starts throw them away, because when they split open you have no warning and hot plastic goes everywhere.
  12. I am trying to match this color and have not had much luck, I know the glitter is green and purple. It is all one bait not dipped in different colors. I believe its a southern pro style 4" tube but do not know the name.

    Colorants

They all have good colorant and are great to deal with but I like the bottles that Lurecraft uses. The others seem to cause nothing but a mess.

  20. Here is mine made with round cutting wheels from Hobby Lobby and 3" paint roller handle.
  21. I will take some pictures here in the next few days of each step of the process. I would say Jim is correct on the injection machine forcing its self into the other half. I have a single cavity mold, I did 2 shots and laid them out, and started heating the color. So they layed there for 5 minutes before I started pouring again. I was pretty impressed on how well the tow halves bonded with each other, I tried the next day to split them apart wasn't able to do so.
  22. Not sure if anyone has tried this trick or not but it works pretty darn good. Take a piece of aluminum foil lay over one half of the mold and close the mold. Then shoot it with hot plastic let it cool as you normally would and demold, two perfect halfs! I did this on my caney creek craw it worked real nice for making PB&J laminates. Just placed it back into the mold and shot the other color. If you was doing a bait that had not top or bottom to it would be alot faster. Perfect two color baits, with no hand pouring. Here is a pic not the best with camera phone.
  23. No the baits he is wanting to make are a 2" crappie tube, I make the same style baits. I have 2 blocks of aluminum that mated together and then drill through. I will try to post pictures of my molds over the weekend.
