    004 custom colors

    first attempts at core shooting
  2. Hand injected core shot
  3. The process is pretty simple, if you have a injection mold. shoot the top of the mold with the desired color, let set up. use some alcohol to wipe( to clean oils and insure bonding), the cooled plastisol then take straight colorant and a tiny bit of stabilizer mix the two together, then add a little dot of it (I use a tooth pick) at the desired location on the bait close the mold and shoot the bottom color. I like clear no colorant with a little pearl glitter in it. it takes practice but that is what that process will do. hope this helped. then add eyes and dip in clear plastisol . hang till set up ...24 hrs to completely cure and done.
  4. sorry bout that wont happen again

  18. I forgot some info..the jig head weight is 5/8 of an ounce, 4/0 hook, chicken feathers, buck tail and craft hair for accent, different crystal flashes for scale patterns. I pour my own heads powder coat them add 3-d eyes. the song leader name..Im the song leader at my home church...the preacher jig was invented by a preacher here in Ga long time ago...the jig is 6" long

  20. thanks... will buy a presto pot soon to help the process
  21. I starting a new adventure...will be buying molds to pour a hal fly (type) of jig it has a very small amount of plastic...like a curly tail grub maybe 1/2" long size of a pencil...if I heat my plastic in a microwave I will need to keep the temp. constant in my heat proof measuring cup while I'm injecting...is there a simple way to keep the plastic close to proper temp.?A presto pot? and then when do I add the stabilizer while its in the liquid state? To extend the life of plastic long as I can? I'll have three molds lined up to pour hoping the cooling off time to remove finished product so I can keep pouring...That's removing spru. and finished baits..cleaning injector re-filling injector. Assemble line and repeat...someone got this system down pat? Thanks for any help...
  22. I tie a jig with UV incorperated...in the powder coating the marabou is florescent and the chenille is florescent..is that what you were asking?
  23. Does anyone here have a company they would recomend to buy from?
  24. I have a 2 molds 1 mold is 3" one is 2 3/4" that i use to pour a minnow shape bait...that I use on a 1/16 oz minnow head jig...the problem with the one bait that is it has a more slender shape, and when hooking the jig head on the bait it bunches up at the head...dosen't look natural or clean...I guess what I'm asking is, is it back to the drawing board? do a slightly wider body? I have a feeling that is my problem...for a nose hook on a drop shot hook works great but not on the jig head. just asking thanks for any responces...Fisheye This bait is used for spotted bass and small mouth under a cork....winter time tactic
