  3. i just wanted to show off my daughters first painted crankbaits . went to harber frieght and picked up a 5.00 airbrush so she could play with and heres what she came up with she mixed her own colors by the way shes 8 yrs old . im a proud dad. hope you like. .

    back broke off when cutting out didnt want to throw away tryed somthing different.

  11. ive had that happen, try kils primer/sealer it worked for me ,it comes in a spray can.great stuff

  15. i did a little test last night i painted two baits one with windex with ammonia one with windex with vinegar , the one with ammonia is still tacky the one with vinegar is dry. i dont know what the ammonia does to createx , but it wont dry . thanks for the replys
  16. let me see if i can explane this mess, first i sealed the baits, second i put devcon let it dry or two to three days and yes it was dry third painted with createx with a little windex for a little extra lube, i use a ten dollar air brush it just think it helps a little bit, instead of water i use windex never had this problem before. tryed using the hair dryer still very tacky. i t was going to be a base coat for a crackling affect. hope this some stuff up. thanks
  17. im sorry in all that mess i foregot to say they will not dry. the paint is still very tacky.
  18. i painted four crankbaits on fri the 7thi used createx with a little glass cleaner with ammonia ,thier in a room thats about 72 degres. does any body have any ideas can i put them in a toaster oven for a bit . or can i epoxie them agian and start over , any ideas thanks.

  20. i just repainted one of my grandpas old bomber lures .and i was wonndering if you can still find them metal lips . i know you can turn the body on a lathe . those old lures has a great action .

  24. thank for all the info guys . first there was a ballest weight added and yes there was hooks added for the water test. tryed vodkamans sugestion worked very well calmed the action down alot . all of you guys are awsome thanks for the help. hated drilling in the bait to more weight in but if i would have done it right the first time . palmetto i used a drill bit for the eyes and spot. agian thanks for all the help .
