    Hi!I add my share of problems with paint adhesion in the past!!!My problem was that my base coat primer was to dry!!??I use createx autoair paint and I was told that the primer coat add to be put on about 15 min. before spraying the first coat of paint!!!Curiously!!!It work's!!!So...It allways depend on what kind of paint that you are using!     Hi Pete,i am making some thruwire musky cranks,A few year ago I was doing some wood cranks and I was using wire to do the tow eyes in the lips!!Just bring them under the lip all the way to the bait and then make 2 lops!after that you only have to screw the wires on the bait!!!Works very nice!!never add any problems with that!! cheers,Dan

    The iwata airbrush are the best!!The ferrari's of air brush!!i got 2 and they run very nice!!buy one on ebay!They are cheaper there.Cheers and good luck.Dan

    Dont be jealous!!!My paint jobs are nice!yes!But there's some much better air brush guys here then me!a lot more!!!!Whit a little practice you will be able to do paint job just like me!They are basic paint jobs!Nothing complicated in my baits!!But I am still proud of them!!lol!And thank you guys for all the nice comments!I appreciate a lot!It help me to go on and try to do better!!!     hi guys!!Im a machinist!!!so iuse lathe every day!but to do metal work!I work on a 40 000$$$lathe so it can do a lot of work and details!!Wood lathe are mostly work by hand!so the work is hand made!!!the tools are handle by hand and the advance to so very tought to do all lures the same!!!I work with + and - .002 but with some fine tools!!!I am not familiar with wood lathe but it must be tuff to do all lures the same!???Good luck.Dan

    H!If I make a top water lure or a jerkbait.,I like to have dark colors on the belly and flo or very visible colors on the top!!The reason is simple!,Fish that pray on top water lure see it from below,so if the belly is white it will blend with the sky!!So less visible for tha fish!And the reason for the bright top is for the fisherman!Easy to see the lure in the water. cheers,Muskydan666
