I guys!I tested my foam cranks a week ago!!They run very nice!!!!!!I tested them up to 10.5 mph and no blow out!!!!so I think I have a perfect musky lure!I have made a shallow running version of it and have only tested it casting yesterday and it was looking pretty good!!!I think that it will run somewhere between 4 and 6 ft.so things look good for my baits and I wanted to shared my joys whit you!!! I would like to send you a pic of it but I cant do a pic 31.9 kb whit my digital cam and i dont know how to reduce a pic so...maybe next time!!!(dident have that problem whit the old tu!!???) Hi.I also add that problem whit a badger model 100!and I am pretty sure that I know the solution!!there some air leaking from the head of the gun!it as to be tighten correctly but some times it is the little white washer in the head that is getting to old so even when tighten at maximum there is still some air leaking from the head.go get a new washer and I am pretty sure that your problem will be solve!! Hi!I would be surprised to but in the musky fishing every thing as to be heavy duty!!!X4!!!!!it's like that!!!lol!!!just to be pretty sure that you wont miss that 55incher when it will strike!!!!!!!!!!Dont have a second chance on those very often!so heavy duty is the way to go!cheers,Dan

hi guys!!!!Shit!!!making foam lures is a hard thing!!!but I can make a lot more in the same time!!!!i add my problemes making foam lures but It's whort the time !!!!!It take a few min. to do and I can make a lot in one day!!!!after some wood puty and sanding it's ok so!I like it a lot.Cheers.muskydan6666

Hi!I add that bubbles a few times to!?I think that it is almost imposible to do a perfect lure whit foam!??I always have to sand the seam line and add some wood puty and then resand....!!But even if it is not 100% perfect in the end It will work nice !!Cheers,Dan

Hi,I am using foam now!!but I was using poplar wood before!It was OK but the wood was expanding some times!??and cause some damage to the finish!Now no more problems!!!!foam is a awesome thing to work whit!dose not take water!and i can make a lot more lures in the same time!and thru wire also! Hi guys, Very interesting topic!I am pretty sure that action is the most important thing BUT!!!It is not always the action that is good looking for us the fisherman that matter the most!?It's the vibration that it will produce!For a example:The very commercial lures like a swim wizz have is unique vibration,almost all the musky fisherman have a swimwizz in is tackle box!the fish will get used to a particular vibration and will no longer be attracted to it!or very little,I think that custom made bait whit a unique action and vibration whit a good color pattern for the condition and type of water that you are fishing is a good way to catch more fish!!!! but that's what I think,doesn't mean that I am rite Cheers,muskydan666

Hi muskiemark,I use the smooth-on foam-it 15,It works nice but the room tem is very important!!!You can see how to make a very good mold in the tutorial from artbrush!!I used is advice and my first mold is perfict!! when i buy a kit I make all the lures in the same day!!like that i'm sure that the stuff is fresh and efficient I make some 10 inches musky lures so I can make about 8 whit a small foam-it 15 kit. Hi,I add that kind of problem in the past!What you have to do is reduce your paint a lot !!some time I even put more reducer then paint!!If the paint is to thick it will dry in the air brush and cause iregular paint flow. Cheers,muskydan666

Hi dkreegz,If you use createx paint you will have to clear it whit some clear in a ratle can(tremclad)I dont know if you know that brand???but if you use createx autoair you can use a automotive clear(urethane)whit no probleme.createx paint is not compatible whit all clear coat!make some test before you clear coat a bait that you like!!!!!!!!!!cheers,muskydan666
