  1. Finlander, I have the same equipment as you plus a table saw and a lathe. I use 1/3 of my three car garage and even with a 2hp dust collection system and several shop vacs, there is still too much dust around. A separate shop would really be the way to go, but I am stuck with what I have for now like most of us. Not so much of a problem of breathing the dust, but it does get tracked in the house, etc. etc. and I hear about it almost on a daily basis if you know what I mean.....lol Rod
  2. Longball is right.....it doesn't get any better than this. I learned more in one year here than I learned in the all of my previous years of serious bait making. Rod

    Air Brushes

Rick, Welcome to this crazy world of lure making and painting.....This is just my opinion so for what its worth..... My theory has always been with most things I buy is "buy the best" and you will perform better. That is not true with everything, but with airbrushes, IMO it is oh so true. Before I got serious about lure making several years ago, I fooled around with Paasche, Badger and Thayer & Chandler brushes thinking that one was as good as the next...Then my friend turned me on to an Iwata Eclipse with gravity flow and I fell in love with it. I really got the bug because my painting got so much better. I then bought an Iwata Custom Micron SB and never looked back. The detail you can achieve in a short time with this brush is amazing. The cleanup is easier than anything I have used yet. The quality and the adjustment features are awesome.....I am not a rep for Iwata either. lol I guess the whole point of this long winded statement is that if you can afford it, do yourself a favor and buy an Iwata, I promise you won't be disappointed. 8. Fatfingers, Funny you should talk about that....I just bought some stuff on ebay called Koala Lexan cleaner/polish. I haven't got it yet but will let you know how it works. I have the Novus1, 2 and 3 plastic/lexan polish and it doesn't work very well..... The commandant 4 I've heard is great, but try and get it....it is dutch made and you can't get it in the states. Rod

  16. The way I do it is with a hair dryer on the low setting. After you shoot a color dry it until the sheen goes away. Do not get it too close, you don't want to boil the paint. You can actually see the moisture leaving the paint. When it is set, you are ready for the next color. Rod
  17. Very nicely done. I know a guy that makes Musky baits similar to that and nothing ever pulls out. Great tutorial. Rod

    Cisco

Dan, This is a foiled cisco pattern that is made from cedar. It is an excellent trolling bait and has several good muskies to it's credit. These are 3oz and are 10 inches long.
  21. Dan, We do a cisco pattern that is foiled. Works real well. I will put it in the gallery and you see if you like the style. Rod
  22. Your work is very much appreciated. I was lost when the site went down. I think we all are junkies for sure. I am willing to do anything to help. Great job getting it back up. Rod
