I tried Minwax spray on urathane and it failed on me. I put about 10 coats on as well. First dunk in the drink I had a swell crack. Just my experience though.

I buy lexan from Home Chepo by the sheet.

I heay a! A BIG bass here is 6 pounds lol. Average 3 pounds. Awesome JR! I know what you mean about leaving the bait in the mouth, but you must be really happy to hear from customers. The best part is the word of mouth that this will generate for you. The Cal guys are swimbait fanatics for sure, and you could hit the motherload of customers. Congrats and nice job!!

It's good to see the positive reaction from everyone about this. The main thing to remember that he is not charging $1,000 for the lure. People are fighting over each others wallets to pay $1,000 for it. As far as I can tell he let's his quality, word of mouth and lures speak for themselves. I have seen some self promoting lure makers that just beat thier product into your head with non stop spamming of forums. He seems to let the word of mouth spread. I have been a long time admirer of his work. He has an incredibly unique style and design in his lures. I absolutely say good for him! You can tell by the following he has that his lures are quality and not only look good but produce as well. Bravo!

Those are made by Dean Steffen. He is a retired art teacher. He is an incredibly original artist! He has an about me page on E-Pay. You guys should check out some of his work. Truly unique!

Carver Comp was a very popular contest with lure builders a few years ago. If you click on past contests you will see pictures of his and others works. Pretty cool stuff on here. http://home.att.net/~carvercomp/past_contests.html He used to sell alot on E-Pay and had an about me page with most of his work. I looked for it, but it was gone Too bad. He had some incredible stuff on there.
