  1. Hey guys, I have told a few people I would send some pictures of the fluid bed but haven't gotten around to it yet. I do appoligize! I am in the middle of a very large project that I have to get finished, but I will do a short video on how to build the one I have. I will put it up on youtube this week. The one I have built will cost about 50.00 to 75.00 depending on the supplies you have on hand.
  2. I have a couple thousand glow in the dark skirts. They are plain white and glow neon green. Let me know if you are intrested.
  3. Is the bill made of lead? How big of a lure is it, how much does it weigh and what size hook? I do alot of tinkering around with lures, I'll see what I can come up with.
  4. Oh, I am happy with our trade as well. I would just like to have some place where I could tell people that you were honest and fullfilled your end of the deal. There are many people here that "I "would trade or do business with again, but for someone who has not traded with an indivudal it would be nice to be able to check up on someone. Just as a peace of mind sort of thing.
  5. I have read about some people on the TU that have been taken advantage of by other TU members. People offering things for sale or trade and not living up to there word. I am a member of other web sites that offer a page for people to post feedback when they make a trade or sale with other members. I was just wundering what other people on the forum think about the idea. I have had made many trades with TU members in the past and would just like a way to let everyone else know that there are people you can trust on the site. What does everyone else think?
  6. Some people do not agree with me but if you simply smoke the mold with a lighter it will do wunders. I had the same problem with every single mold I own, smoked the mold and they are perfect every time.
  7. As far as i know, no one sell them. You could make your own with the 40 lb test as mentioned before. Just cut some short lengths and touch the end's to the side of a Lee's melting pot to secure them.
  8. Contest is now over. The winner is "braveviper" with "lil elmers". I would like to thank everyone for there help in nameing these. I would also like to thank willie for his help in starting the contest.
  9. Nice fish!! About two more weeks and I'll be on the water. Hopefully I will post a lunker like yours. BTW, what did you hook him on?

    Slow sinking Jig

The weight is about 3/16 or just a bit lighter. The hook is a 5/0. This is the 1oz size head.
  11. On mine, I had to cut the air flow way down to get it to work. I'm not sure if it should all turn into a "liquid" or if it just keeps it from packing together. On mine it just kind of fluffs the powder. If you are just getting a couple of places that are spewing up, try to use less poweder and cut your air flow down. This is what has worked for me. Hope this helps.

  14. Again Frank, if you had any idea's of your own I might listen to you. Oh yea, you did have the FOAM JIG idea, oh that was someone slse's idea. Lead head, I will not reply to you because I like the site too much to tell you what I really think. Pictures posted in the jig gallery

    Is it O.K.

Boy you miss alot when your gone for a few days. Hey Frank, I have let it go, and you know what you can do with your crackers and wine. You must be one of the people that come to the site to steal other peoples ideas and have no good one's of your own. Pictures posted in the jig gallery

    Is it O.K.

I will post a picture of one of mine. It looks just like a regular 1oz jig, the only difference is it only weighs about 1/16 of an once.

Thanks DEL, the point I was making is that if you give someone on THIS SITE an idea for a lure, don't turn around an hour later and post that same idea on here as your own. Then go the extra mile and have a contest to name your bait for you. Then go to the trading post and offer your new bait up for sale or trade. The bait in question is a copy of any bait you want it to be, the process is the new idea. Thats why I shared the idea in the first place. I enjoy coming to this site and seeing what other people are doing with there lures. I never would try to start contest's and what not using someone else's idea. This is, as far as I know, an isolated incident on the TU.
  18. http://www.nakedbaitco.com/products.html Scroll down the page to the skirt expander. I bought one of these about a month ago, I love it. It is hands down the best I have found.
  19. Where is your "grub retrive" posted at? I would love to see it.
  20. I agree siebler, lets just put this behind us and move on. I am greatful that so many people here feel so strongly about what happened. It's nice to know that we can still share our ideas with some seceruity. Thanks all. While I'm here how about the "SLICK WILLIE", sorry.

    Is it O.K.

I know that I should have never posted my idea on the site if I was worried about someone stealing it. I thought that mabe a few people would like the idea and give it a try and then say hey that works pretty well or hey that is a stupid idea. I never thought that anyone would try and use it on "this site" to start a business. I relize that the person that tried to do this is only 13 but my God, at least go to another forum and try to sell them. I will admit that I was very mad when I saw the "name my lure" thing. I was just wanting to see what the adults on the forum thought about the subject. By all means, make them, give them to your friends, give them as Christmas persents, donate them to a local kids fishing club, if you do sell them, congrats. I just would rather not heare about it until you are a millionare, so I can sue you. LOL.
  22. I have been trying some different things with some of my spinnerbaits. I like to take a 1/4 oz spinnerbait and put 60 strands on it with a number 5 willow. This has been great for slow rolling the bait just under the surface. The extra skirt material seems to keep it up better. Just something I have tried. Hope this idea doesen't get mass produced.LOL

Is it o.k to take someone else's idea, that they posted on the TU and use it for personal gain? I am just wundering. Where do you draw the line?
  24. Hey, how about "THE DONK" since it was my idea! I always thought that this site was a good place to trade ideas, not take someone elses idea and call it your own. Guess I will keep my ideas to myself from now on.
  25. The glue you were asking about is the regular hot glue like used for making crafts. The only problem that I have had is finding a paint that will work well on the glue. I purchased the paint used for painting plastic and it seems to to ok with a top coat over it. They do make colored glue but the colors suck. It does work well around docks, I made some of the poison tail in the 1oz size and with a 44 strand skirt on it it barely even sinks. I tried putting on a small split shot to get it to sink a little faster.
