I am proof that a different looking bait can catch fish for whatever reason. Jim from ghostbaits (great baits by the way) tested some of my new lure design this spring and had some success. Ive got a few guys fishing them around here and they are slamming them in 43 degree water, SLOW jigging them on the bottom. from my site, the bait is bottom right. 8 legged "daddy long-legs" here is a video i took in the bathtub over winter (iced over lakes). this was rigged with a treble and a heavy split shot. on the fall when it opens up seems to work as good as the fanning it gets when you yank it. http://www.labarres.com/lurevideos/heavyshot.AVI http://www.mymomisbecky.com[/url]

This is a product ive recently taken over distribution in the midwest, called "crackle" Its great for tubes... But I have been tinkering with breaking a capsule and pouring it in the plastic... so far so good on a few tests, and making little cavities to put the stuff..I make a slit in beaver baits and put this stuff in there too.. works awesome.. couldnt be happier... Im trying to find different ways to incorporate it into the pour, or shortly thereafter... its not the easiest thing to figure out haha http://crackle.mymomisbecky.com

so what does this do for you so that you can get the tail right, instead of pouring it in 2 steps?, just plug the hole enough and force the plastic with pressure up in to the tail?
-
are you guys using it straight or watering (just the term) it down some, diluting it with something? I am working on some molds, and considering using it.

what i use that works great is those big laundry detergent jugs that have the spicket on it.. the little button to dispense plastisol.. of course rinse it out WELL before doing it, but its easy to shake, with the handle, and dispenses... i love it.

to be really honest ive found more and more lately that my resin molds just dont cut it... the baits come out lighter, like not nearly as much plastic is being used.. the tails of beavers are thinner.. there is about 1/8 inch shrinkage from the original... for personal use, there is no problem at all with resin, although I i would caution using it if you are going to sell your baits.. especially on smaller ones.. someone may post something completely to the opposite however.. i just say use caution

senko is a japanese word for incense http://www.japanese-incense.com/incense-sticks.htm and a chinese word for something else... its used all over the pacific rim. Thats like me calling a liquid filled tube bait a "saki" and getting p*ssed off if someone wanted to use it... If he invented the word, fine, go for it, but he didnt, so its fair game as far as im concerned... NOW with that said.. I do not use that name on my sticks, I have done what the rest of you have and changed it, named it something different. I just think his whole argument is bush league.

Here is one of the most important things when photographic pics... Use white paper, sure... thats a must... But use the PEN TOOL in photoshop to cut around corners properly and to get your image on to a transparent background, turned in to a gif and displayed... makes a world of difference.
