  1. 1 drop of black and some blue highlight powder should take care of the blue vein
  2. http://www.harborfreight.com/1-5-hp-58-psi-compressor-and-airbrush-kit-95630.html If you get an "airbrush" compressor like the one pictured above you do not need a tank. Here is one that is similar. I use the same one every day and it works great. It comes with an airbrush as well. I don't use this airbrush but allot of people do and like it. Hard to beat the price.
  3. Here you go http://www.htent.com/catalog/inventory.php?fam=147
  4. The bait is a clone of the Megabass Vision Ito 110 which I got from www.bustinbassbaits.com I used both Createx and Auto Air paints and then cleared with one coat of Bob Smith Industries 30 Minute Slow Cure Epoxy. That clear coat is very similar to D2T you talked about in another thread but with a slightly longer working time. If you like D2T, then give this stuff a try. You will like it even better!
  5. It's a Reaction Innovation's color
  6. Ace Hardware carries it also
  7. You would think the reputation of a business or the integrity of the owner would be more valuable than a couple of molds or a few hundred dollars. Go figure
  8. They've been around for quite some time. www.bustinbassbaits.com has them.
  9. Not a problem! You can probably use the same white out of the spray can if that was working for you. You can also use craft store water base paint also if you thin it. You really shouldn't need to this any of the createx/auto air transparent colors. The ones that you might need to thin would be the pearls and some metallics, opaque black and white
  10. Maybe someone more familar with airbrushing lead will chime in. Try doing a search. I think there was some discussion on doing this recently. I'm not sure but I think you can just powder and cure the basecoat and then spray from there with the Createx. I would just use whatever colors work for you. Don't worry about mediums. Just get a couple of the transparent colors you like and paint over the basecoat. Get opaque white in case the powder base doesn't work.
  11. It isn't the paint, It sounds like dried paint on the needle and it isn't seated right. Pull the needle and the caps and clean off/out the dried paint.
  12. This will explain differences between the Createx and Auto Air paints, their uses and properties. http://www.createxcolors.com/product/main.html
  13. That's what it's all about. Finding what works for YOU! Make sure it is ammonia free windex as it has been said the ammonia will take the finish off the brush. It's beyond me if you rinse it off with water but that's the deal.
  14. I don't know why you would want anything more than 2 rpm. The further away from the axis (right term?) you place the lure, the faster the revolution. I have a 2rpm rotisserie motor I bought used on e-bay for about $8 plus a couple for shipping. I run up to 16 lures at a time and have 1,000 hours on it. I can run it for 12 hours or so and it never gets hot. I am also using BSI 30 Minute Slow Cure Epoxy.
  15. If you want, you can order one online from Ace Hardware and they will deliver free to any store you like $18 last I checked.
  16. LOL............ and now he should be buying yours to copy!
  17. Yes, that is it without the stirring system. you can see one over at bearsbaits.com You can also see them in action on you tube I believe through his site as well.
  18. If I order a stock mold or anything else for that matter lets say on a Monday, I would expect it by the middle of the following week. I shouldn't have to chase anybody down looking for my paid for merchandise. I know people waiting over a year now for a couple of molds from two different vendors. NASA builds a rocket ship in less time than that, does better work and is quite a bit more busy. There are no excuses in my book, but that's just me.
  19. Sorry........yes and violet hi light powder Like a match head. It is very strong. That is all I used plus a little flake.
  20. When I made it I used 1 drop of white per 2 cups of plastic
  21. No different than putting the skirt on a jig. I put the skirt on with a band and adjusted the strands to my liking. Then I wrapped my thread and cut off the band. They are pretty easy to work with and come out nice.
  22. +1 you really need to "load" up the brush and let it flow off.
  23. Something is either legal or it isn't. You either have integrity or you don't.
  24. Try holding up a piece of plastic maybe 1/8" off the lure. This would allow some paint to get underneath and give a softer line. I've never tried it but that what happens if you hold a stencil off the bait a bit when using an airbrush.
