  1. I always heated in the pot. I only did smaller amounts like 1-2 cups and added ingredients as it started the gel stage. Spraying a little Pam on a towel and wipe down the blades before using makes for easy clean up. The system works great and can easily do a small batch of sticks with just 1 cup of plastic and every stick will come out uniform with little or no waste.
  2. Local hobby shops should carry it. RC hobbyists have been using it for years. You can also order it online or through e-bay. I prefer the BSI 30 minute Slow Cure Epoxy over their 20 minute Finish Cure and D2T 30 minute.
  3. Looks great, Bruce! I can't get past the frustration of resizing the photo yet. Are using foil underneath?
  4. I wonder if you can cast a mini-throw net over big bedding bass with a flipping stick........sight fishing at it's finest!
  5. I believe no matter what AB you use, you're going to get condensation in the hose. I would use an inline filter between the brush and the hose in addition to the one that comes off the compressor. I think if you would have taken the needle completely out it would have continued to spit. I think your nozzle was just clogged. Other than being clogged and/or having moisture, there is really nothing else that could go wrong with one. IMO
  6. Unscrew the top of the paint, stretch a piece of pantyhose over the opening and screw the top back on. Keeps those larger pieces from getting in your airbrush. An inline filter is a must as well as a clean brush. Might not help that tic much, though!
  7. What I do is put the rubber collar in place and then arrange the skirt the way I like it. Then tie or wrap just above the collar. Then, just snip or roll and the collar off.
  8. I think you might be better off using RTV silicone or vene wal-mart silicone for that matter. There is a huge thread on it. I believe it was started and tutorial by Longhorn. The rule of thumb is soft model----hard mold. Hard model.....soft mold. Hope this helps
  9. You might try info@ If that doesn't work Lurecraft carries some of their molds. I'm sure they have it.
  10. I have the same brush as Ben. The Mac valve is very useful and I can also shoot basecoats with the .3mm nozzle. I also had the iwata Eclipse CS with the .35 nozzle which is also a great brush and can be used for everything. Whichever model you choose, it's hard to go wrong with Iwata. You get what you pay for, IMO
  11. Nice job on that bait! If you want narrower lines than what's on your bait you can try shooting though a comb.
  12. We really have enough garbage in our waters without adding wd-40.........not to mention it is illegal to do so.
  13. I use the black 3/8" black epoxy brushes. They run between .16 and .20 each depending how many you buy.I use them once and toss them. They work great with D2T and BSI. You can get them at any hobby shop or e-bay.
  14. Thinning them should do the trick. I use a mixture of 60% water & 40% Future and thin to my liking.
  15. Do yourself a favor and possibly save you some frustration and aggravation.........Before you order from whomever, Call and find out when your molds will be shipped. Seriously!
  16. I would look for another vendor if the hook hangers are loose. Not all KO's come from the same factory
  17. Funny because what Jon refers to as "cloudy" seem to be a common thing with the better quality KO's. I don't know what makes them that way but those baits never have any seam lines to sand, dents or other defects. They are excellent castings that don't need any prep work other that a couple of swipes with sone fine steel wool. They fish well and track true. Mark, I tried your acetone prep several months ago, It works fine except I can't be around those fumes or odors
  18. Fishincomfort on e-bay is the only one that carries the 110 and 130's at this time. He also supplies stamina. Not cheap but high quality blanks.
  19. Remember to put the cap back on before you backwash...........ouch, I did it again
  20. I would use more like 10 in 2 oz. Be care not to scorch it though. Black Grape will do that easily and look greyish when scorched
