  1. I just looked at the one that came with my compressor. There is nothing like you described on it.

  3. Pour some white baits then lay them on the Sunday Funnies overnight or so. It will transfer right on. The only problem is, the fish will have to hold it up to a mirror to read them!
  4. It is possible on some molds. Leave about 1/4" from the top with the first 2 colors, then close the mold like you said. The third color would need to be thin and hot so as not to clog up the sprue.
  5. If it is just the motor you need and you have to purchase another one, Ace Hardware carries them (just the motor) for $18. It came be ordered online and delivered free to your local Ace.
  6. Crayons, oil pastels and color blocks for candlemaking have been proven to work. I'm sure there are others but it's a start.
  7. You always amaze me, Dave Throw in a couple of bilge pumps and you've got a jacuzzi!
  8. You're welcome! Good luck with it. I tried making them a couple of times but just couldn't get the hang of it.
  9. There are extensive threads on this when they became the new "magic bait". Type in the keyword basstrix in the search engine.

  11. i think what you want to do is create a table. Place the pictures in one row and then the names in the row below. If you make your table 900 to 1000 pixels wide you should be ok. maybe 3 to 4 colums and then as many rows down as needed.
  12. Here's a couple of ideas recently discussed. There was a tutorial using epoxy but i couldn't locate it. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/16447-aluminium-epoxy-eyes-other-options/page__p__162753__hl__eyes__fromsearch__1#entry162753
  13. I got a 3 ft wooden dowel from Home depot for 0.69 or so. Shaved it down a bit and D2T'd it right in. I screwed in an eye at the other end and have several extensions ready when needed. I have wooden clothes pins also epoxied on the dowels (saw that done here). When I clear a bait i hold them with hemestats. The clothes pins hold the hemostats that holds the baits.
  14. I ended up ordering the Bob Smith 20 minute Finish Cure from a local hobby shop. WOW, this stuff is a dream! I found it very easy to mix just eye balling the equal amounts just like D2T. it has very low odor, just like D2T. That's where i found the similarities end. With D2T I was only able to clear two baits at a time and that was thinning with denatured alcohol. Finish Cure goes on thin and has better flow properties than D2T. I have used it six different times and find i can do 6 baits, just taking it easy and taking my time. It appears to dry a little harder than D2T by the way i have been clearing out the hook eyes. I have not had any problems with bubbles and all that I find neccesary is one coat! Thank you, Rookie!
  15. More than likely, the scent will discolor the salt and make it clump up. Either of them by themselves would be fine and would not make the baits harder. If you apply salt when you bag the baits, it will just fall off when the bait hits the water.
  16. I know when the swimbaits like the basstrix were popular, some guys were using the JB Weld to thicken/shape the blades they used for dipping. Just apply it and sand/shape it smooth.
  17. This is what I would do: 1. If the bait sold for less than $20, apoligize and refund his money. Let him just keep it. 2. If the bait sold for more than $20, apologize and ask him to send the bait back. Then refund his money. 3. Toss the bait in the water. If it is defeective, toss it out. If it is good, toss it back on e-bay. Keeping a good rapport and reputation is very important. A twenty dolllar bill is not going to make or break you. I have learned many times over the years, that allot of the customer that break my balls turn out to be some of the best customers I have.
  18. Have you tried just adding opaque white/black or any other color to the green pearl? Their irridescent green is a killer color as well.
  19. I would imagine that the "Black Market 110" was tagged by the writer to avoid any type of negative feedback. I don't think it was marketing but more to keep the peace. It does kind of fit right in with the name.......Tackleunderground! They happen to be an excellent blank and if you you have the right hardware on, the bait will just sit there for as long as you like.
  20. Congratulations on being able to make your dream/idea a reality! You should pass out cigars!
  21. Thanks for posting that. He cashed a pretty nice check! http://www.flwoutdoors.com/bassfishing/afs/tournament/2011/6564/lake-of-the-ozarks-headline-story/152071/ryan-reaches-the-top/
  22. Just about my favorite bait! I fish it in the pads and yours won't tear up using medium like the originals do. I flip it, pitch it, etc. There isn't a way you can't fish this bait! Try 1 drop LC white to 2 cups plastic plus the flake
