  1. Maybe Clearcoat Labs will replace Meth Labs
  2. Thanks to all that participated. The baits sent will definitely be appreciated. Those guys are risking there lives so guys like me can stay home and do the things I do. Richard
  3. http://www.harborfre...ssor-93657.html on sale now for 59.99 I have the 1/5 hp that came with the airbrush for about $25.00 more It's very quiet as Lure-Prof says. I actually bought it upon his recommendation a while back. I use it about 4 hours a day almost every day for about 5 months now. If it dies today, I'll buy another one tomorrow. As far as I'm concerned, it's already paid for itself.
  4. I had some big worms that got deformed from sitting in bags too long all curled up. I put them in almost boiling water and laid them out straight. They stayed straight and were also a little softer. Might be worth a try.
  5. Exothermic?...I once knew this woman who................. I use the same method with the D2T...dip the brush in the DA after intitial mixing of the 2 parts with a toothpick. The D2T should flow nicely. if it doesn't, then it has set up too much and won't look very good.
  6. You've been using it for a year so you obviously know what you're doing. I would give Kim a call. They're great people there and will take care of you.
  7. 3 for $5 w/free shipping I ordered 3 and they work just fine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150547482655&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
  8. Hi Raymond, Thank you, that is perfect! I will be sending some items out to you (custom painted hard baits) and will distribute this information to the two forums I frequent. They are www.tackleunderground.com and www.bearsbaits.com. These guys are great and if they are able to help out, I'm sure they will. Thanks again for yours and everybody else's efforts who put their lives on the line allowing us here at home to enjoy the freedoms that we have. Sincerely, Richard Prager Classification: UNCLASSIFIED Sir, This is SSG Milam, we spoke a little while ago about how I am trying to collect up some fishing gear for some soldiers that I work with. We are in a training unit stationed in Georgia. We train everyone from brand new guys in the army to different units within the United States. We travel all over the US as well as other countries and deployed areas quite often. I have been trying to gather up some fishing gear for ten soldiers that I work with in an effort to help them enjoy some much earned down time. They havent been able to gather up enough gear to really go out and enjoy themselves due to moving around as much as they do. These guys all love to fish and if fishing will help them relax than I'm all for it. I am trying to find companies that are out there that could assist me in getting them some baits and what not so that this could become a reality. Here in Georgia we primarily fish for largemouth bass and stripers, these guys have begun to itch at not being able to go out and catch fish like they would like to. There are some of these guys that are not here at the moment and as for the stuff they would recieve, I can either store it for them or give it to thier family members to hold until they arrive back home. They should be here in the next couple months. As we spoke on the phone, you would like to help out. This is greatly appreciated, I know the guys will enjoy anything they can get thier hands on to catch some fish. Anything you send can be mailed to: Raymond Milam 1251 West Avenue APT F-1 North Augusta, SC 29841 Again we greatly appreciate any and everything. Thank you again, V/R SSG Milam, Raymond 808-342-5405 Classification: UNCLASSIFIED
  9. Some of the Michaels carries it.
  10. Tim....do a search. i remember a couple of threads on them not too long ago.
  11. This is the item number for the 20 minute........BSI210 Just google the name and you will see where to buy it. Hey Rookie, do you use this stuff as is, or do you thin it at with denatured alcohol?
  12. Don't let the plastic cool. Try to pour the second color within 20-30 seconds after the first. You are not getting a good bond. The plastic has to be hot.
  13. http://www.impact-mfg.com/store/index.asp
  14. That was artsupply.com at 2.70...........I would compare shipping charges with Bear Air and Coast Air. The latter two will match prices. I made my last order with AS when they had a free shipping offer. I bought my airbrush from Coast Air who matched a price and gives free shipping with orders over $100. All were good to deal with.
  15. There are a few good demonstrations on You Tube
  16. Then why do you even bother to respond, Jon? wait.............I know Jon........... God helps those who help themselves? or use about a quart of plastic......you'll be a better pourer for it? Am i close, Jon?
  17. You have a good point and Fred is correct. The oil is being absorbed. That was the one thing i hated. That is the reason i waited until the baits were ready to go out to bag them. You might just be better off with the softener. i stand corrected. i have heard negative things in the past about using softener. Try doing a search for it. i know there were several threads about it. Good luck! Onlyonmonday.....I bought my worm oil from Bear. He had the best price per gallon.
  18. I would use worm oil (DINP) rather than softener. Why would you need a gallon if you are using it for bagging? You only need a couple of drops. There are roughly 120 drops in a teaspoon. 768 teaspoons in a gallon. That's allot! Anyhow you could use either worm oil or scent (which is made with worm oil). Softener, hardener, soft, medium, saltwater is all the same stuff. Just different grades as explained to me by Jeff from M-F.
  19. I turned up my speakers and you didn't sound "gruffy"! I would also suggest calling all the vendors and ask for samples. Most will send you a pint if you pay for shipping. Not to sound too Gruffy myself, but being new, I would read EVERY thread in the Soft Plastics forum. there is a wealth of info there. It will answer allot of questions and give you an incredible amount of ideas and things to try. It will also save you a ton of $$$ and time by avoiding allot of trial and error. Yes, use the search engine. It is a valuable tool.
  20. Yes, that is exactly what's happening. That's the one thing that irks me the most. You might try either cleaning out the opening a bit with a dremel or maybe removing a few strands.
  21. Welcome FCM. What about avatar infringement? LMAO
  22. Medium of whatever brand you buy is a good starting point for swimbaits.
