  1. Shoot, Jon? Was that an injection pun?
  2. I get my silicone tabs from www.fishingskirts.com I get my living rubber from www.lurecraft.com
  3. Best thing since sliced bread! http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/links/goto/54-skirtmaster-pro/
  4. Why would you say that people trust one more over another? Both Predator and Bustin have excellent reputations and baits. From what I can tell, H2O baits are no different than theirs. They just come painted. A knock is a knock off is a knock off.
  5. The bottom line is........................if you don't take the proper precautions with ventilation and such.......YOU WILL GET SICK! Whether it be nosebleeds, sinus problems, congestion, migraines, Emphysema, whatever Am I trying to scare anybody? Yep, sure am. You need to take the proper precautions. I didn't and now wish I did. If you're coughing up a bunch of crap, and/or getting congestion, don't dismiss it as something else. Either stop pouring for two weeks and/or get the proper ventilation and see if it goes away. Keep pouring and ignore the symptoms...........it's on you. You keep breathing those fumes you will get sick. There are plenty of good threads about ventilation systems/masks , etc. Just use the search engine.
  6. You shouldn't have any problem leaving it run all night. Mine doesn't get more than warm to the touch. I let it run all anight all the time.
  7. That Presto Pot w/stirrer that Bear has is great. You can pour as little as one cup of plastic with little or no waste. Also great for pouring sticks as it will keep the salt mixed and each bait will come out consistant. Can't go wrong with it!
  8. Are you talking about the unpainted blanks?
  9. Bob's not too computer savvy so it might be a while. If you are looking for a specific mold, it more than likely is on his cousin Kevin's site....... http://www.basstackle.com
  10. I've always used Wateremleon w/small red, black and gold holo. Most variations should work just fine. It is no magic color. Just another Watermelon Red which is about the most fish catchingest color. That bait in that color has had a designated rod for the last couple of years!
  11. It's yours, Mike Shoot me an e-mail and i'll send you an invoice. Thank you richard@152ndstreetbaits.com
  12. going to give you guys ONE last chance $95 shipped with 10 blanks!
  13. I'm not so sure you would want to replace salt with white. The white can only take a couple of reheats before it isn't white anymore. I know you can get "sugar flakes" that might work well for you. They are just clear flakes. I think white might also be available now. You can get sugar flakes from Senko Sam http://senkosam.tripod.com/
  14. When the ingredients seperate and make it very difficult to mix by shaking the bottle. I have never had that happen with any of the vendor's colorants.
  15. Very interesting idea combining the different materials. Cool hat too!
  16. I doubt with only using a quart of plastic, a stirring system will be needed at all. Mix it once and shoot your baits. The salt/flake is not going anywhere in 60 seconds and also more likely shot at a lower temp and under pressure.
  17. That is one neat looking contraption! I'm looking forward to Frank's unbiased findings as usual. Frank, if you ever stop pouring, everyone is screwed. Your efforts are applauded I have a feeling that if you use a denser plastic which requires less salt, keeping it mixed and injecting consistant sticks won't be the issue some think. But, I've been known to be wrong before. Just ask my wife!
  18. Bryan from http://bustinbassbaits.com/index.html has them made for him. He also has them on e-bay http://stores.ebay.com/Bustin-Bass-Baits?_rdc=1 He has several other high quality KO's as well. Nice guy quick ship and easy to deal with. Especially helpful to the newbie painter.
  19. I'm adding 10 cheap Chinese knockoffs to sweeten the pot. Going once, going twice.......................
  20. All great advice. ESPECIALLY starting with the 5 gallon jug. If you get 1 gallon, you will be cussing out your UPS driver for your next jug!
  21. In your first sentence, you say that your epoxy molds aren't sealed. I would re-seal them. When you are pouring the plastic.............do you see any bubbles? If not, I would.........re-seal your molds. I've always used a 50/50 wash of Elmer's Glue All. I've never used the wood glue, although it might work fine. After the POP mold is BONE dry, I would flood the cavities and let it soak in for a minute or 2. Pour the excess out and then repeat the same thing 2 more times. I think your molds are not properly sealed. The POP has to be totally dry BEFORE you seal. I could be wrong but i think this should be the first thing you eliminante especially since you say they are not properly sealed in the first place.
  22. There was some discussion about making them a short while back. Throw a few words in the search engine.
  23. Does make sense if you think about it..........just don't think too long. If it helps to wear a Tator Hog hat, invoice me...............I'm willing to try anything!
  24. Welcome back and happy new year! Weren't you building a house or addtion before you left?
