  1. More than likely, Jim. The Tequila I use to drink was clear........Well, the first few were anyways!
  2. Sounds like marketing to me. I don't think there is such a thing as semi-opaque. Wouldn't that really be translucent?
  3. Yeah, your best bet when using tthe holo flakes are to pour everything out after the first reheat. The smaller flake with wash out and the larger flake usually curls. Just make up smaller batches.
  4. That was fantastic! Great job. It makes me want to hop on a plane to the Netherlands!
  5. Another option is to just buy new ones on e-bay and repaint them. If you put a little time in, you can find some good deals. Just a thought.
  6. Marinating them in a zip lock works fine. Most guys just squirt some on prior to bagging. The scent gets absorbed right into the plastic.. I would be careful though, if you are referreing to salted sticks. They can swell like a ballbark frank!
  7. 1-3" Revolution Shad -Slow Fall-Bluegill 1-4" Revolution Shad -Wake-Tilapia 1-5" Revolution Shad -Suspend-Ghost Chart. Shad Unopened $22 shipped domestic Paypal only please
  8. I just recently tried a few repaints and used this product from another member's suggestion. It worked like a charm over the factory eyes. Parma Liquid Mask http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWNX:IT Hey Gunnie.......those Bluegills are killer! Certainly something to strive for.
  9. I doubt they are made specifically for scales. I do remember (vaguely) working with leather in the early 70's and I had about 50 different stamps. Some were scalloped and could be used for a nice scale effect. Try e-bay
  10. I have the what I imagine is the "knockoff" version of that vise. It says made in india. i got it on e-bay for under $10. It by no means what you call a precision instrument. Scratch that. It really is a piece of crap and if you play with it enough it will hold the hold. I got what I paid for.

  13. These two have been time tested. I have been using the top one and it does work very well. As soon as i can find the Future, I will try that one. it seems that everything has gone to "wipes" these day. it's been difficult for me to find locally. There was a post earlier today about the second one. http://jason-jones.com/hobbies/airbrushing/62-homemade-reducer.html http://www.youtube.c...h?v=zZrmNjQYcdg
  14. Each vendor's colorants vary in strength. You do have to experiment a little bit.. As far as black goes, I've found Lurecrafts (18 drops per cup) to be by far the strongest and M-F's (55 drops per cup) the weakest. That's just for black and cannot be used a rule of thumb for their other colorants. Bear's and Del-Marts fall slightly below Lurecraft. All four of these vendors make great products. Some offer colors that others don't. Some off products that each other don't. Welcome and start saving your money as this is very addicting. I would take 10% of what you spend and put it aside.............for a good rehab or divorce lawyer.........maybe both ! The search feature also has a wealth of information that can save you plenty of $$$$$$ and trial and error.
  15. Great job on the eyes! I would have never thought to use Photoshop to make them. I saw that epoxy eye making video. Great stuff! The list of neat things I want to try just keeps getting longer and longer!
  16. I bought this 1/5hp 58 psi compressor that also had an airbrush with a .3mm tip included. I haven't used the airbrush but I'm very happy with the compressor. I use it every day, it's quiet and has sufficient power. They have it on sale right now for $79.99 and you can use a 20% off coupon. http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/oilless-compressors/1-5-hp-58-psi-compressor-and-airbrush-kit-95630.html
  17. I got mine at the CVS Pharmacy
  18. The nose bleeds are most likely from the fumes. I know of many people who had the same problem becasue of lack of ventilation. Those fumes are nasty. You're probably getting congestion as well. A respirator will certainly help, but with that size opening you really need to have a proper ventilation system to suck out the fumes. The fumes have nowhere to go and your fan is not sufficient. Take it from someone who can't pour any longer from not taking the proper precautions.
  19. If you're going to use createx on the lead, do you need to doing any prep beforehand?
  20. I believe the HF gun has a .35 nozzle
  21. I've only been painting a couple of months and found this pretty helpful. It's nice to see a visual. If you happen to like the type lure holder he is using, you can get them at Harbor Freight for about $3. It comes with a mirror. Just replace the mirror with the clip of your choice.
  22. Welcome! Here's some member submitted tutorials to get you started. You can also use the search engine for additional threads on making molds, materials, etc.. Hope this helps. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/forum/49-soft-plastics-how-to/
