  1. Great job, Rich! I really like your selection of colors and baits. Good luck with it.
  2. They get better and better. Thanks for taking the time to do these.
  3. I've always wondered what it was suppose to look like when working correctly. I've read where the powder should look like lightly boiling water. I don't know about that. Mine works great, like others have said, when you see the increase in volume. The powder will settle and pack when sitting, so you do need to loosen it up before you start using it. I think if your jig gets coated and the eye doesn't get covered, then it is working just fine. I mix mine up, turn on the pump and when it starts shooting up powder, I back it down a bit. Some powders and certain colors seem to be a bit more difficult as they seem to clump up a bit from the humidity. The best results I have had are with the powders i got from Cadman (the powder is finer) and the most difficult are the proTec, especially the ones with flake. Just my findings. Those are the only two, other than Harbor Freights I have tried. HF works ok it just has a nasty odor to it. For the membrane i have been using the paper from the express mail soft envelopes.
  4. I've been wanting to try that but I'm having trouble finding the Future. I have been using this and it works very well. http://jason-jones.com/hobbies/airbrushing/62-homemade-reducer.html
  5. POP- plaster of paris. I don't know what type of powder you are referring to. Other than the colorant sold for this purpose, you can use crayons, oil pastels, and coloring blocks for making candles. There might be other things that can be used i'm not aware of. You might try using the search engine with various key words. Hope this helps.
  6. Well, that figures. Ok, Dave.......what was their mother's maiden name?
  7. Most fabric shops have it Dollar stores....those little bath scrubbers and some cheap toys come in mesh bags Produce department...... Strip joint.......(fishnet stockings)but it will end up being expensive!
  8. Great, thanks! I'll have to give that a try.
  9. Great job! So, that foil is self adhesive? Where is it available? thank you.
  10. With the aluminum molds, if you pour a set a baits first, it will heat up the mold enough to do laminates. Unless, of course, it is cold and you don''t live in Sunny South FloridaB) You can also lay the mold on a pancake griddle set on warm and pour that way. Or......you can just do your laminate, then set the mold on the griddle and turn it on warm for 60 seconds or so.. It will blend in any cold cracks you might get. Those were my experiences with 2 part hand pours w/lams. With open pours which were my favorite, just set the molds on the griddle and pour. You might try doing a search for split veins and cores as they are allot of fun with open molds. One can be as creative as the mind allows. It's nice to see that not everybody owns an injector!
  11. All the major vendors have them. Delw, Bear, Basstackle, Bobstackleshack, etc. It should be listed as hand pour and will always have the sprue on top. Shoot them an e-mail if you're not sure.
  12. Another great one! You really ought to write a book or have your own column somewhere. But then I guess you wouldn't have time to play!
  13. The full round is of course a beefier bait. I've had delw's 7.25" and 10.5" round and have caught more and bigger fish on those 2 than anything else. I usually throw the 7.25 on a shakey head and the big 10.5 weightless with a frog hook. They both work well wacky also. I would be on to fish using the flat side, then throw out the full round and start catching better quality fish immediately. You can't go wrong with either of them and you can never have enough molds. Right, Dave?
  14. I was referring the the flat sided mold like the Zoom Trick. Side by side they are identical except in one spot. The place where the thinnest part of the worm is, right above the diamond tail. Bear's is just slightly smaller. Slight enough that if you didn't compare the two side by side you wouldn't be able to tell. That's what I did and that's why I bought several of them and 2 tip molds.
  15. I've had both Delw's and Bear's versions. Both are very close. Bear's is almost dead on as far as size. Delw's is a hand pour and Bear's is injection. I prefer the injection allot more. You also have the option of getting a mold just for tips for a few dollars more. They work like a dream.
  16. unpainted 200 Slip Jigs domestic ship only paypal 100 1/2oz 100 9/16oz picture shows what a finished product looks like.
  17. Bustin has the newer version of the LC 2.5 KO's on e-bay. They are not on his website. The ones on his site have the adjustable weights. These are the new ones without the adjustable weight. They swim great as I have tried them. Here's one of them I just painted. Great guy to deal with as well.
  18. I've ground fresh Columbian Coffee Beans to about the size of medium glitter (.035). It bleeds a little when using lighter colors. It gave a strong coffee smell that lasted about two weeks. Caught a few fish and my shop didn't smell like crawfish for a while!
  19. Those are pretty neat looking eyes! Would you mind posting the link? Thanks
  20. Since I've just started with the harbaits, I thought I'd give back this little find. They seem to have the cheapest createx at 2.70 plus the 16%, but the free ship is what makes it very appealing. I'm glad it helped a few out.
