  1. Dead-on, Chris! I used M-F Smoke Blue Pearl w/green highlight powder, a little small black and silver flake and M-F liquid Pearlescent. Thanks a bunch. I'm glad I had the liquid Pearl. Believe it or not I have never used that or white pearl powder. When using the powder, do you add white colorant to it? Richard
  2. Boy, you're good Chris! Thanks. I'm gonna try that Smoke Blue Pearl with the green highlight. It does look like a swirl, so I bet every bait is a little different.
  3. Look for overhanging trees in the area that has berries. You can catch Carp on those berries.
  4. Thanks in advance for your input! Berkley Emerald Shiner Richard
  5. I don't believe there is a forum on Bob's site.
  6. All of M-F's liquid pearls cannot take the heat as well as most other colors. Just keep an eye on it after it goes through the gel stage. You probably won't get more than 1 or maybe two reheats before it starts to discolor so prepare your amount accordingly.
  7. You maybe right. I just hope Husky doesn't decide to wait another 30 years to pour again. :popcorn:I don't know if I'll live that long!
  8. I would guesstimate close to 100 baits figuring 20-25 per cup. I get 20 5.25" sticks (no salt) per cup.
  9. If you're talking about the one with the hookslot, it swims very well with good side to side roll. I threw some this past weekend that someone had sent me. As far as the frog, his 2 piece makes a great bait. It's virtually weedless and won't roll over. I wouldn't bother with the one piece. As a top water bait, the one piece has to run upside down in order to kick up any water.
  10. Look in some of the older classifieds. There was a guy who had a bunch made from urethane.
  11. That's a great tip on using the search. I'm sure people get frustrated when they can't find the info they're looking for. It really helps out a lot if you understand how the search feature works.
  12. I'm sure one of the rod builders will chime in.
  13. Why don't you remove the tip and measure it? You're going to have to take them off any way and this will leave nothing to error.
  14. Thanks, GR that's great information. I have a small head but it tends to swell when I'm on to fish! I found a couple of local places in my area I will have to visit. What is your opinion on half vs. full face. I'm wearing glasses when I pour. Richard
  15. Thanks Nova and JD. I'm going to check them out. Nova...which filters are you using with yours? It looks like I have to get a full face for sure.
  16. Thanks. Then a 1/2 mask would be useless to me. Do you have a model number? Thanks for the info
  17. That looks like it would be easier to work with. I'll check it out. Thanks, Dave
  18. Dave Are you saying that with the half mask I wouldn't be able to wear my glasses? It wouldn't do me much good to be able to breathe but not see.
  19. I think it's about time I start wearing a respirator. I been doing some searching both here and online and I'm leaning towards one of these two. I do want to make sure I'm using the right filters as well. . The first respirator pictured is the 3M 7500 (built for comfort and cool exhaling) series and the second one is the 3M 5000 series. The filter I believe to be the correct one is the 3M 5P71 P95 Respirator Filter Thanks in advance for your input. Richard

  21. I just "squirt" some on when the baits are setting up. A "squirt" is even a less precise unit of measure than a drop . Sorry, JD I just had to....
