  1. I appreciate you willing to share your "find" of the elusive purple flake. I'm good for 1/2 lb is that is possible. Finding this purple would be comprable to The Red Sox finally winning that World Series. It's ok to die now! Thanks Richard
  2. I use some of all three that you mentioned. It's a matter of preference. LC's colors are definitely more concentrated than M-F or Del's. I've never had any luck using the color recipes myself. I don't pour with salt so that might be why.
  3. Automotive supply stores have it and probably Wal-mart also.
  4. There are some resin molds on e-bay. They're made by a TU member and pour great baits.
  5. I just read my wife your post. I asked her if she would like to bag baits. She stopped what she was doing and then gave me this "look" and then continued what she was doing. You think that means no?
  6. Mine usually smokes a little. You can try taking off 30 seconds from the initial blast. I don't pour with any salt. In most cases, using one cup of M-F regular, it's ready to pour at 2:40 on high. Without using salt, I can heat for that amount of time and usually pour out the entire cup. If need be, I can heat another 30 seconds and finish what's left in the cup. If you have a few cups, you can pour one out, and set it aside when you're done. Then, pour out your second cup and by the time you pour that out, your first cup will be cool enough to peel out the leftovers and ready to use. Tell her she can keep the house. All you want is the garage!

    Hey

Good to hear from you! I thought you might have bought a crawfish farm or something! I hope all is well! Richard
  8. Great stuff and you looked like you had a blast doing it! Welcome aboard. What program are you using to do the editing? Richard
  9. Question for the day: Can we get a group hug? Color of the day: sour grape
  10. You can go to their web site which links you to e-bay.
  11. I'm no expert at this, but I see Green Pumpkin and maybe a drop of orange? orange, green chartreuse and black flake. Hey Nova:worship:, where are you??
  12. You can get them from Lurecraft. You should be able to fit 15-20 in a bag. Materials & tools > Envelopes & bags > Laminated Reclosable Worm Proof Bags : These 3 mil. laminated reclosable w - LureCraft
  13. I respect everybody's decisions and their reasons for making them. That is really their business and not mine, but I think Smallie's post said it all. Oh, and don't forget to get your TU Football picks in for this week! Richard
  14. This bait is 30 drops of Del's Red with 1/8 tsp. small black flake in 8 oz of plastic. Maybe add a drop of black. If you have, you might try the very large black flake which will bleed a little and darken it up.
  15. You also said you were pouring in an apartment. Make sure you have some sort of fan blowing the fumes out. Otherwise, EVERYTHING will get saturated (especially fabic ulpostered furniture) with that smell if you don't. If you don't have good ventilation, you are subject to real bad headaches and some even experienced nosebleeds. Drinking plenty of water helps in reducing the headaches. I'm not trying to discourage you, just giving my experience on one bedroom custom hand-poured big bass catching soft plastics! :eek:That's where I started pouring from. Richard
  16. DO NOT put the Pyrex cup on the hotplate! Definitely an accident waiting to happen. As far as the divider for the cup goes.......there were some earlier threads and some picyures were posted. Do a search for them. They are full of good stuff from several people. I've yet to try it myself. You should be able to make a template out of a piece of cardboard
  17. If you are adding worm oil to allow for easier packaging, why not just use a few drops of scent? I give the baits a squirt while they're setting up. The next day they are still slick and package easily. Just curious because I've never used worm oil. For myself, there's nothing worse than trying screw on a slippery bait on a shakey head!
  18. You've been sniped! It's a program you can download in which you can enter the auction item, your high bid and how close to the ending of the auction you'd like to enter that bid. I think you can get as close as two seconds to end time. I've seen alot of used items fetch more money than the item sells for new. You're right, then a couple of days later you can get the same item for next to nothing. Alot of people get caught up in that "adrenilne rush" of bidding and refuse to be outdone no matter the cost.
  19. E-bay now blocks or hides high bidders' ID from being seen by everyone except the seller. Only after the item is sold will the winner's ID be made available. If you are bidding on an item, you can no longer tell who is bidding against you.
  20. Not me,either. Whoever it is, I'll send you the $19.95 for his double DVD on Horitzontal Tube Dipping. You don't have to hack into his computer! It's well worth it to me so Bojon will continue to post! Richard
  21. The only thing better than catching fish on your own baits, is watching someone else do it too! Have fun!
  22. Black grape to taste and a match head of blue highlight powder. The blue highlight powder is very potent. You can buy oxblood as a reay made color.
  23. If you feel that using the tall thin container for dipping is a bit dangerous......I believe there were threads about using POP as insulation around the containers. This would also help in avoiding accidental knockdowns. Found it.
