  1. If you can come up with a plastic that will sink without salt, you'd be a wealthy man! I know that a lot of guys that pour sticks with salt use M_F super soft. You don't have to add much if any at all softener. Question: If you don't add salt to the skirts, does the bait stand straight up? That would work great on a shakey head.
  2. I've tried them all and have settled on M_F non-bleed. It takes alot (45 drops to 1 cup, no salt). I have found two others that I liked just as well but one brand turned bluish and the other was not consistent from batch to batch. I believe with the colors you to have to spend a few bucks to see which ones work the best to your liking. I use certain colors from each of the most popular vendors.
  3. Very nice work! Which molds were those made from and did you dip in clear after painting? Thanks Richard
  4. Also, make sure your mold is bone dry before you coat with anything. A lot of guys bake them. I just set them in the sun for a day or so. I'm not allowed to use household appliances anymore for any reason! Do a search for it.
  5. I just fill up the cavity with the 50/50, let it sit for about 20-30 seconds and pour the excess into a cup. I wait a couple of minutes and repeat. I do this a third time and let it dry. That's all I do and it works just fine. I have some molds I've been pouring for over a year and the baits still come out perfect.
  6. Try this link to buy single colors in bulk. Crayola.com Can We Help Ok, who's going to try deadsticking a crayola?

  15. Nice pours. You might want to try the 1 cup Pyrex. You can get them at most markets. I think it would be less hassle and a bit more safer than having to place the beaker in the koozie. Welcome aboard. Try using the search feature on the top of the page. You will find alot of answers very quickly.
  16. A friend of mine in Texas fishes for Reds and Trout in Corpus Christi Bay. He uses flukes in blue/white, red/white and Green pumpkin/white Colors might vary from region to region a little bit. I just googled this site up. It might help. Texas Tackle Factory - Welcome
  17. Have you tried Bojon's method for horizontal tube dipping. I bought the dvd and it seems pretty easy to do and you don't need to heat up so much plastic. Just a thought.
  18. Welcome aboard, Grimsbane. A Florida get together sounds great! especially in Central Florida Sorry, but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity! GO GATORS:wink:
  19. I am not trying to get anybody to use a brand other than what works for you but........M-F does not separate at all.
  20. Does it have to be a coffin container? You can get laminated bags for that size. Smaller quantities like 100's are available from Lurecraft. Larger quantities from Impact. I use them for the 10.5 inch tricks and you wouldn't have to worry about leakage. Just a thought.
