  1. I appreciate your efforts, Brad. I know these events are very demanding and time consuming.
  2. I believe it's the cardboard box that a case sits in. Do they still sell ABC Beer and Ale up your way?
  3. Just printed the postage for mine as well! Thanks for your interest as well as your time!
  4. Have you tried contacting gambler? They're pretty nice people, they might just tell you.
  5. I know I won't be making one anytime soon. I still have to say out loud......lefty, loosey......righty, tighty!
  6. That is pretty neat! Does this have to be done right after you take the bait out of the mold (while it's warm) in order for the hole to close up?
  7. If you crimp the rivet, about 60 seconds in front of a fan will do the trick. Crimping the rivet is the key, otherwise you have both the blade and the rivet spinning. Some people also use rusty rivets.
  8. Not so much to pour faster as to top off faster. As one stick fills, go back one and top off. Fill the next stick, then go back and top off. You want to keep a little "mound" showing at all times. When you let the plastic contract and then top off, you are creating an air pocket. You can always remelt your trimmings.
  9. I agree with Smallie. I believe different size baits require different formulas for maximum performance and durabiltiy. You have to play around and find what works best for you. I have different formulas for different baits, types and sizes. Hardener is just a different firmness of plastisol and can easily be mixed with regular. A smaller swimbait might work best with let's say straight up "regular" whereas a larger swimbait might work better with a 3 parts reg to 1 part hardener or whatever you come up with.
  10. Sounds like you are not topping them off fast enough thus creating the air pocket.
  11. Have you tried it with an aluminum mold?
  12. When I first started, I remelted used worms and even new worms. It stunk up the place and there was not much controlling the consitency of the baits. I did get a bit discouraged because of this. With all the $$$$ I've spent on baits, and other crap I've never used, the best thing I could have done was spend $100 and get a 5 gallon container of plastisol and start learning with the help of TU. One can do a lot of experimenting and learning with 5 gallons and a few colors. When I did remelt major brands and got terrible migraines. I haven't had a single headace using plastisol. Watch out if you're pouring in the house. The fumes from the remelts will forever be saturated in the upolstery of your furniture.
  13. This thread might help or give you an idea. http://www.tackleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11472
  14. The area where the hook goes in through the bottom and out through the top. It is a solid bait, not a tube swimmer and has no hookslot. The only way to hook a fish is to use a salt water style (like a cotee jig) jig head threaded through the body of the bait and exposed out through the top. I think he has a picture on his web site.
  15. Sorry, when I said top I meant from the nose.
  16. The jig head would have to show because this mold pours from the top.
  17. oops, left off 2 letters......th
  18. Real nice work, Nova! Those eyes you're using really work with is bait, not to mention the colors. The frog looks completely sealed. Will it float a hook?
  19. They swim fine but need to be rigged with a jighead. The baits is to thick in my opinion to be used with a weighted EWG. Maybe if it had a hookslot?
  20. Nice job! I suggest that you put away $10.00 every time you order more stuff. Rehab is expensive these days!
  21. Do a search or check back a couple of pages. There was a discussion about this not too long ago.
  22. I'd like to see more pictures as well. Good luck with your new venture, Mike!
